Hey guys! I'm so sorry for the long wait!

I CHANGED the last chapter's ending since I found I couldn't continue with the previous one. Check that out first if you haven't since it's a lot different from the last one. The beginning is still the same, just the ending is different.

Here's the next chapter!

They brought her in chains to the castle with five guards surrounding her.

This was after she had woken up, and she still remembered it well. The air had been damp with rain and fog, and the sky was covered in emotionless clouds that affected the people below it. The horses shook their damp manes needlessly, their coarse hairs whipping through the air like small whips. They were exhausted as everyone else were-- exhausted of the journey and of the dreary clouds that possibly foretold their future.

She sat with the prince in one of the high horses, the ground feeling miles away from the feet. She would have fought from this pairing, but she had been too weak to do anything. The Sleep can take all energy from you, and her body felt like it couldn't do anything. Her voice was also lost. The only movement she managed thus far was slight movements of her hands and feet, and that itself was useless.

"What's your name?" he had asked when she after she awoken.

She hadn't answered, and wouldn't have even if she could. So she just stared at him. He must have understood her hesitation since he simply smiled, saying, "Nevermind that. You can tell me once you're feeling better. We'd better get going now." No answer again. But he ignored it, smiling.

She remembered how irritated she had felt with him then, but also curious. He hadn't been all that she remembered. Could someone have changed so much in a short time? Or had centuries passed since she was last awake and this was a different person? It was a strange feeling.

"Calissa. Calissa. Wake up."

The voice came from afar, muffled and quiet. Her mind was still foggy and unfocused, but little by little, the light shone through and everything slowly came back to her.
