"Alright. Everyone please be seated." a woman at her mid 20s with hijab clothing, that seems to be the teacher, walked in. Everyone was quite surprised by her entrance, and considering that she's very young for a teacher, everyone in the classroom was in awe.
"Good morning. My name is Ms. Oubrey and I'm your base teacher for the whole semester. To make things quicker, let's all just introduce yourself by telling your nickname, birthday, and where do you live." the teacher pointed to the person sitting on her left. "Starting from you." The student that was pointed out was a bit in shock by the teacher's index finger pointing at her nose.
"Wow, she's certainly in her 20s." SinB whispered to Umji. Of course, her friend giggled. The student then stood up from her seat. "My name is Yeonjung, I was born in August 3rd 1999, and I live in Seoul." Everyone then nodded and clapped.
Everyone else get the turn to introduce themselves, including SinB. "Okay, you. Please stand up and introduce yourself." SinB had been waiting for her turn so she quickly stood up with excitement, yet it was too much. Just then, her chair fell to the back and gave a loud thud, which caught everyone's attention. Oh, shoot. SinB whispered to herself. Some were holding back their laugh while some were still in shock. Eventually, she still introduced herself, shyly. "Um-okay... so, my name is SinB, I was born in June 3rd 1998, and I live in Cheongju." Everyone nodded and clapped their hands as she sat down. The teacher then said "Alright, thank you, SinB. Now, let's all start today's topic..."
"SinB! Wait for me!" Umji ran towards her friend. Heard her name called, SinB stopped her walk.
"Ya! You're so fast. Can you be a little bit slower than last year?" Umji asked while fixing her hair.
"I can't. I've been walking like this since... I don't know when." SinB said as she pulled her phone out of her right pocket.
"You should be in a wheelchair." Umji murmured.
"Excuse me? What did you say?" SinB puts her hands on her waist, glaring at her friend.
"Nothing. Let's go home!"
"Dude! I heard you say something under your breath!"
"Aish. It's no big deal! I'll race you home, come on!" Umji started running away.
"Umji-ya! Agh, that girl." she shook her head and followed her friend who already ran far.
"Eomma! I'm home~" SinB called out her mother as she closed the door behind her. She went to the living room but she just found her brother sleeping on the couch and the TV turned on, playing 'The Amazing Spiderman'. She just looked at her brother for awhile and went to the kitchen. She found the kettle boiling and a cake in the oven. The dinner table was empty, and so were the kitchen counters. That leaves SinB to one place where her mother would always be in. The garden. She ran to the back door, opened the door and...
DDOK!
Just as she looked down the door, she saw her mother already on the floor and rubbed her forehead. SinB was very surprised and quickly kneeled down, helping her mother to get up.
"EOMMA! I'm sorry! Oh God..."
"Ow... I'm glad you're home but please don't surprise me like this." said Mrs.Hwang
"I'm sorry, eomma! Please forgive me!" SinB hugged her mother tight and kissed her forehead.
"Yeah, it's okay, Eunbi-ya. I'll be alright... now, let's go inside. It's getting cold out here."
Mrs.Hwang went inside first so SinB closed the door. As she was about to pull the door knob, she noticed the vegetables on the balcony's pots were dying. Eomma must be really upset about those right now... she thought to herself as she closed the door.
