What Happened After

"I like you, Jungkook..."

Both of them were now froze in their own position, with their eyes fixed on each other. Neither of them tried to speak up. The atmosphere turned tense, somehow.

"Oh okay..." Jungkook finally spoke up.

Yes, it was very short and straight. But somehow it was better than what she expected.

"Yeah..."

"But, why tho?" he asked, then started chuckling. As that question came up, SinB's eyes grew wide.

"Well... that's because you're funny and nice, I guess..." she said after figuring out why.

"Hmm... okay then."

"But I'm not expecting anything from you. I just want to tell you how I feel."

"Alright. So, we're cool, right?" Jungkook put his hand in his pocket.

"Yeah! Definitely." SinB said with a bright smile on her face as she tucked her hair behind her ear. They shut their mouths again. SinB was about to say something until the bell rang.

DDUNG DEUNG DONG DDONG DEUNG DONG DDONG DEUNG

"Well, let's go back to class, shall we?" Jungkook asked

"Oh, yeah. Let's go." SinB responded.

Since then, everything is awkward for them. Neither of them tried to came up to each other to just say 'hi' or even looked at each other. For them, it was just... weird. This also invited confusion to their classmates, who obviously noticed how they've been silent around each other. And the fact that they were quite close on the first three weeks of school, made others more curious about what was going on.

But not long until then, rumors about them dating started to spread. And even, SinB's confession to Jungkook that was actually the only true thing, had also spread. Of course, with that going on, it was hard to get back to the way they used to be.

No one understands how SinB's mind and heart works. After what happened, she couldn't get enough to put embarrassment on herself. One day, she foolishly came up to Jungkook. Just like what she did before, they both found an empty class and SinB said out loud.

"Let's date, Jungkook."

The boy's eyes grew wide and his whole muscle tensed. You could tell that he was really really surprised. He still couldn't believe what he just heard so he just gapped his mouth open, but didn't said a word, until

"You see, SinB. I- I can't. And... it's because.."

He thought to himself. He silently sat on the chair, busy with his mind. He then took a glance on the girl in front of him. She was already covering her face with her elbows, putting her head on the table. Yes, she was embarrassed.

"I... My- My parents don't let me date. They forbid me from any relationship now. And um, and I'm not ready. I'm sure we're both aren't ready." he said.

The girl unwrapped her face and looked at the boy, stared at him directly into his eyes.

"Yeah.. I guess you're right. I'm not- not actually ready. You know, I- I'm just asking. Heh." SinB said as her face went red and she scoffed. What a foolish thought, of course he's right. Gosh, SinB!  she thought to herself.

"Hm... okay then. I'm sorry if this upsets you or... offensive." Jungkook said as he get up and pushed the chair he was sitting on.

"No, no... it's fine. I'm cool with it." she also get up and pushed the chair.

Jungkook opened the door for them and let SinB out first as he closed the door behind him and walked faster, ahead of SinB. And yes, this couldn't get any easier.
