"What's wrong with him?" SinB spoke to herself.
"Hm? What did you say?" Eunha turned her head to her friend.
"Oh. Um, I was just saying 'interesting' hehe.." she faked a laugh. Eunha didn't seemed to be bothered with it so she just nodded. SinB let out a quiet sigh of relief. Then, a big statement came out from the teacher.
"When you're having a feud with someone you know very well and meet everyday, you must end your conflict immediately, as not talking to them for three days in a row is a sin."
That one full sentence hit SinB so hard she almost broke into tears. The sense and weight of guilt occurred her, tried to consume her. But she fought it, so that the person she had the problem with wouldn't know. Just then, curiosity hit her too. She glanced at the boy again, whose smile had faded. She felt like he also felt the same way. Now, the big question is, will she forgive him? No wait, will HE forgive her.
SinB's POV
Why do I feel guilty? I shouldn't be feeling this way. It's not my fault that someone hacked into my phone and started this feud with him. But could it be because it is me who was being used? Oh gosh... I shouldn't be asking or forgiveness. I shouldn't. But look at him, SinB. Look at his face. Will he forgive me? Will he forgive me even tho it's not my fault? Oh, please, Jungkook. I hope you forgive me.
As she was thinking to herself, it was Jungkook's turn to looked at her. He noticed how she kept her eyes darted to the floor and carried her head by placing one hand below her chin.
Jungkook's POV
Man. Should I forgive her? She might not be the one who did it, but... wasn't it obvious? It must be her. And maybe I should wait for her to come to me and begged. If she did that, I'll try to forgive her. Yeah, just wait for her, Jeon Jungkook.
They were busy with their own thoughts when the teacher called SinB's name.
"SinB? Hwang SinB?" the teacher waved in front of her eyes. Heard her name called, she blinked a few times rapidly, and looked at the teacher in confusion. "Are you with me?" SinB could only nodded, still confused and surprised.
"Okay, so as I was saying, let's all be forgiving..." the teacher continued with another lecture. She was trying to listen again when Eunha poked her shoulder.
"You should forgive each other." Eunha leaned to her, whispering. "It may not be your fault, and it's obvious for him to be like this towards you."
"Oh yeah, definitely. This is all a misunderstanding. But look at him. Does that face let me say 'sorry'?" SinB lifted her face quickly to Jungkook. Eunha looked at him, and yes, the guy's face was in a say-one-word-and-i'll-kill-you mode.
"Well, screw him." Just then, without any warning, Eunha tapped his shoulder. He glared at her and SinB was about to lost her face.
"Kook, you've been listening to what the teacher said, right?" Eunha asked. "Yeah.." at this point Jungkook turned his head to her, but tried to not look at SinB who was already facing the other way. "Well, don't you have to forgive someone?" she asked again.
SinB's face had turned red, and so were her ears. Jungkook's face had also turned dull.
"Aw, come one, you guys! " Eunha shrugged the people between her in turn. The two looked at each other. Somehow their gaze looked intense, they stared for a minute until without anyone expecting, they reached each other's hand.
"Sorry." they both said in unison as they cusped their hands. Eunha was squealing behind them and clapped with joy.
It didn't took long for them to let their hands go tho. Now, both of them were blushing, and neither of them tried to cover it.
Let's skip to when they got home.
SinB came in to the smell of pasta being made. All of her senses lead her to her mother in the kitchen. Mrs.Hwang was busy, stirring the noodles delicately. Her right hand kept reaching for the saltshaker, then the pepper, and finally she grabbed the cheese and the grater. She let go of the spatula and moved her hands back and forth, letting all the cheeses fell to the aromatic dish.
"Eomma. What're you making?" SinB asked as she took of her scarf and jacket.
"Your favortite, hun." she said without looking at her daughter. SinB stood in confusion.
Her mother glanced to her since she didn't said anything. "Don't you remember?" SinB shook her head. "It's alfredo, dear."
SinB's eyes lit up. Then she let out a huge "Oh", but that was it.
"Did something bad happened today?" her mother asked.
"No, not at all. In fact, today is... kind of the best day." SinB gave her mother a satisfied look.
"Oh really? Would you like to tell me what it is?" her mother turned off the stove and went over to the table, divided in the pasta to a big bowl and a small plate.
"Well, not now. I'm just really tired." SinB went near her mother. "So, I'm going to eat this and take a nap." she grabbed her meal in the small plate and ran upstairs.
"Ya! Hwang SinB! Aish, that kid.." her mother just shook her head and went to the sink to clean.
SinB closed the door behind her and put down her pasta on the desk. Then, she went to her backpack and reached for her phone. She sat on the edge of her bed and bent down. She rapidly typed something, she was texting someone. And it was none other than Jungkook.
*texting with Jungkook*
SinB: Kook. I wanna ask.
Jungkook: Yea. What is it?
SinB: Are we okay now?
Jungkook: Well, yeah. We're good.
SinB: Really?
Jungkook: Yea. I forgive you.
SinB: Thank goodness. Thank you Kook.
Jungkook: Just make sure you won't do it again.
SinB: Kook, I told you it wasn't me. But okay, I wasn't aware, so I won't do it again.
Jungkook: Good then.
SinB: Yeah, see you
Jungkook: See you.
*end texting*
SinB let out a huge sigh of relief. She somehow felt more lighter, it felt like all her sins were lifted. After putting the phone on the cabinet, she headed to her desk and started spinning her fork around the plate.
"It was clearly not my fault that someone framed me," she said to herself. "I mean, you knew he doesn't want you and this all... it's too far... who'd do this?"
She was too busy with her thought that she didn't realised her fork was already out of her hand. The sound the fork made as it hit the ceramic plate, made her snapped. She looked at her pasta for minutes. She just stared at them, expressionlessly.
"Was it really my fault?"
