Ann
"We have the pantry, the play room, and the main room were the less ranked residents stay." Negan showed me around the compound and I was less than impressed about the setup.

"Less ranked residents?" I raised an eyebrow and Negan smiled, knowing I was going to have a problem with it. "You earn everything you have here. You don't work for it, you don't get it." Negan turned around and leaned his back against the wall. "It teaches hard work and not to take anything you have for granted." Negan looked at me and I couldn't help but shake my head.

"In my community we share everything as equals. After all, we are all in this together. And there's enough division amongst the living already." Negan smiled and I knew he wouldn't agree with my opinion on the matter.

"So, what happens in the day of the life of Negan?" I followed close to his side as he began walking forward. "I've got some work to tend to later on. Till then, just relax."

"Isn't every day a relaxing one for you?" I raised an eyebrow and smirked, trying to get on his nerves. "You keep saying I'm not your husband anymore. So how come you think you can say whatever you want to me?" Negan titled his head and I rolled my eyes, pushing past him and into the room.

"I've been doing that since I got here, though. You'd of killed me by now if it bothered you." I smiled and fell on the bed as I stretched my arms over my head. "Yes, I keep forgetting why I put up with it."

Negan laid down as he took his jacket off and made a wincing sound when he pulled his arm from the sleeve.

"You ok?" I leaned up and examined his shoulder.

"Yeah, that shithead slammed me pretty hard against the wall back in the parking lot." He rubbed his shoulder and I moved closer to him. "Take off your shirt."

"You're beautiful, but I'm not really in the mood right now, sweetie."

"Shut up, Negan and take off your shirt." He huffed and I helped him rid himself of the blood riddled cloth, throwing it in the floor. "Does that hurt?" I questioned and Negan nodded in response. "Well, it doesn't feel good." He grinned and I began to rub his shoulders trying to release some of the built up tension I could feel in his muscles.

"You're stiffer than I thought." He smiled and opened his mouth but I covered it with my hand, knowing where he was going with that. "Don't even say it." I smiled and kissed his stubble covered cheek as I started to rub his shoulders and he leaned his back against me taking a deep breath.

"I don't say it enough, but I'm really glad you didn't die out there." He looked up at me and I could tell this was his attempt at being sweet to me. Well, for Negan. "Me, either." I poked his nose and he leaned up to kiss me. It was soft and gentle. But I was scared just how fast the kiss had taken my breath away.

Despite everything, I couldn't deny I missed this. With Negan it felt the missing part of my heart was filled. "Come on," I got up from the bed and pulled him into the bathroom. Once inside I turned on the faucet and helped him undress. "Now, don't get any ideas. I'm just doing my best to conserve water." I reminded as I pulled off my foul shirt and unzipped my jeans. "That's obviously the only reason you'd wanna be in the shower naked with all this." He smiled and pointed to his body. "Don't flatter yourself." I pulled him in and we got under the warm water. I stared at his lips for a second before pulling him towards me.

"And I think we both know you're the lucky one to be naked with all this." I pointed to my body and smirked. "I won't argue that." He pulled me close and pressed my body to his. "Please, let that be a really long and pointy bar of soap." I smirked through the kiss and Negan laughed, whispering, "Don't act like you don't want it." He leaned down to kiss my neck and I wrapped my arms around his neck, falling into the sensation of his wet lips on my skin.

"Nice try but, we are showering. You're covered in blood and we both smell like a walker with a drinking problem." I grabbed the bottle and poured the shampoo all over his dark strands and began to massage it through his scalp.

"Is it too soon for you if I said I love you?" He stared at me and I stopped to tap my chin. "Probably. Unless you promise to stop taking from the other communities, including mine." His smile turned to a bleak expression and I could tell for the record it's probably to soon to expect big changes.

"Let's not get greedy. I already did a big favor not killing any of you that night." He turned around and started to rinse off. These things take time, Ann. Negan is going to take time. He walked out of the shower and I repeated the action, rinsing off as I stepped out.

"Need anything while I'm out?" Negan looked at me as he changed into a fresh pair of clothes.

"No. Where are you going?" I ran the towel through my damp hair and sat on the bed. "Business." He looked at me and I raised an eyebrow at him. "Business?"

"Business." He walked over to me and kissed me on the top of my head before walking out. "Be good." He threw me the keys to the door and walked out.
His whistles turned faint. After awhile, I sat there, staring at the door. "Welp, time to go exploring." I got up from the bed and stepped out.
