Ann
My eyes were burning and my body felt drained.
I couldn't physically cry another tear as I laid in the fetal position, staring across the room. "You can't do this all day." I told myself, taking a deep breath. I slowly started to get up from the bed.

"You need fresh air." I began walking downstairs and to the front door. The sun was bright, but felt good against my cold skin as I made my way down the street and to the gate, looking up to a gun toting Eugene.

"Mind if I take watch?" I squinted my eyes from the sunlight. "Are you sure you got this? I understand your emotional state is not at its strongest." He descended from the ladder to stand in front of me.

I smiled, nodding my head. He was right, but I couldn't bear to be in my room another second.
"I need this." I put a hand to his shoulder and he slung his rifle off his body, handing it to me. "I'm here if you need me." I hugged him quickly before pulling away. "Thanks." I replied before walking past him and made my way up the creaking ladder.

It was painful when I thought of Negan. My heart ached and I could already feel fresh tears blur my vision. Get a hold of yourself. I touched my belly and thought of the life growing inside...i can do this. Maggie and I, we can be big and moody together. My family will protect me and I can protect them. Negan is not who I can focus on anymore.

My thoughts were ripped away from me when I heard a loud engine pulling up. At first I thought it was Daryl and Rosita back from their scavenge, but that hope was demolished when I saw a big truck pulling up to the gate. Followed by three other trucks.

"Please, no." I gripped the gun tighter and felt my stomach sink while watching a leather cladded figure emerge from the drivers seat. I quickly descended down the ladder and pulled back the gate as I watched his every move and dared him to play his shit with the mood I had been in.

"I hope you just came back here for some extra clothes." Negan smiled, but despite his grin I saw the pain behind it.

"Negan." I breathed out, not emotionally strong enough to deal with this, or him. Even though it was a horrible situation, I couldn't deny the tugging feeling in my heart when I caught the look on his face.
