Casey's patience was being tested while he waited for the cars in front of him to start moving. He began to tap on the steering wheel with the fingers on his left hand. He let out a groan of impatience "Ugh, Can we please start moving?" He mumbled to himself. He began to remember of the times when he was a rookie with his ex partner; John. Casey would ask if it was unethical to turn on the siren to get through traffic. "Of course it is." John would reply, swatting Casey's hand away.

His laughter slowly faded. The tears from laughing became tears of sorrow. "I miss you already, John" He said to himself.

Traffic started to pick up as the cars slowly began to inch farther away. "Oh thank god." Casey sighed in relief. He picked up his Coffee from the cup holder and took a sip. "You weren't a saint either, you wanted to turn on that siren just as much as I did." Casey started to chuckle. He put the coffee back into the cup holder and put his hand back on the wheel. Keeping them at 10 and 2 o'clock. "But one of us had to be the straight man. It couldn't be the rookie huh?" He said.

His radio began to go off. It was calling for all units to head to the Mayors Office. Casey turned on the siren and waited for enough cars to move to the shoulder of the road so that he may continue driving. Casey drove for about 30 minutes before making it to the scene. "We never catch a break, do we?" Casey thought to himself. He heard John's voice reply with "We'll catch a break when we catch them."

Casey began to walk to the scene of the crime. "I hope you're right, John." He said to himself yet again.
