Casey let out an irritated sigh, Casey wasn't the type to take time off unless he was unable to physically do his job. Like if he was injured of physically ill. "I was told I was fine. I don't need time off." He replied. He noticed the reporters were still a little too close to the crime scene, and could possibly overhear their conversation. He looked back at Easter. "I want to be there when we catch him. I owe it to John." He said.
Casey turned to Ben, he gave him a little nudge and shifted his eyes to the reporters and back to Ben. "I do believe they are still a little too close to the crime scene. Lets get them outta here." Casey suggested. He walked over to where the reporters and crowds were gathered, making sure to avoid interfering with the crime scene.
He deepened his voice the best he could, so that he can be heard loud and clear as he told the reporters and the rest of the crowd, that they needed to go farther back. "This is a crime scene, We need you to vacate the premises. You're causing a distraction." He informed them. He was trying his best to not lose his cool at any defiance the crowd would give back to him and Ben. He turned to Ben, and with a half hearted smile said. "I could go for some resistance right about now." He said in a very sarcastic joking matter.
Oliver pulled his hands out of his pockets and popped both his pinkie fingers. It was a nervous habit that had only gotten worse since Oliver had been on coke. The fact that he hadn't had any today was starting to cause slight withdrawls. He hadn't even noticed whether Abigail had been surprised.
She snapped him back to attention after talking about Kiera's family. His family. He almost scoffed when she said 'her family,' it was as if she'd guessed he didn't have much to do with them. He took her hand to shake it when she offered, but quickly let go. He muttered a quick 'nice to meet you' in return, watching asshe produced her tape recorder.
"It, uh, shouldn't be a problem." Oliver mumbled.
"Kiera. She was the most caring person in the world." He almost shook her head. Sometimes she was too caring. Too trusting. Oliver would be lying if he said he hadn't thought that was what got her... He swallowed. "She was the kind of girl that would help her competition rear the lines correctly before an audition. It wouldn't matter, any way, she almost always got the part." He told Abby, trying not to think of the recorder. "She was talented." He added, but of course everyone had known that.
Before he got much more out, he heard some commotion back towards the crime scene. Yelling. After looking over, he discovered that Amanda, Kiera's ex, was being practically dragged from the scene. He scowled. What was she doing here? Her and Kiera hadn't even been together when she... The woman was trouble, she and Kiera had argued a lot. And she always chased after his sister when she'd tried to move on with her life. He momentarily forgot about the reporter as he contemplated whether he should try to intervene or let her get arrested. He was leaning towards the latter.
In addition, another cop was suggesting that they vacate the peremises. After all, Oliver and Abby were still pretty close to the scene. He frowned, not ready not leave yet. "A distraction?" Oliver raised his voice so that it would carry to the officer. "If you did your job right in the first place we wouldn't be gathered out her gaping atadead body." The male was agitated with the local police. How had they had no headway in the case what so ever? And after four, now five murders.
He looked... Troubled. That was not an exaggeration. Talking about his sister looked like it physically hurt Oliver, and for a brief moment Abigail regretted pushing the interview onto his lap. Her phone had buzzed in her pocket but she was busy holding the tape recorder to want to stop and answer a text.
