Lauren and Alexander proceeded to walk along the sidewalk, most of it sheltered with a roof, as it was designed to shield people from all sorts of weather when getting to and from places. There were only very few sidewalks that did not have a shelter in Cedar City, which was closer Downtown rather than within the city. The two of them were heading back towards the Mayor's Office, where the crime scene was, as Lauren had observed a commotion across the road earlier in the coffee shop with Alexander when she was peering outside the window. The female wanted to ensure that everything was running smoothly and that nobody was being given any sorts of trouble by the Press or civilians. Unfortunately though; the interview that Alexander was conducting with Lauren regarding the case had been cut short due to this, as the female sensed that there was a sense of urgency and she would be needed, abruptly ending their interview. A little unfortunate, although It was also okay as she'd managed to squeeze in enough time to make a quick psychological analysis on Mr Hastings, as well as get a few answers out of him regarding his knowledge on this investigation - plus she had managed to get in an extra coffee for the day which was an absolute positive.

The weather seemed to have been clearing as the small drizzle of rain that had started prior entering the coffee shop, had come to a halt. It was however, still chilly and the rain could begin again at any moment - perhaps even heavier than before, although for the time being it was over which was good enough for Lauren. She debated her choice of clothing for the day; perhaps she should've worn a warmer suit, then again she didn't actually expect to be out of the office today or for there to have been yet again another murder - however knowing Cedar now, there was always bound to have been something to happen. It was bustling with events, whether they be good or bad. Everything was out of order - she should've expected it by now; especially from these last few weeks whilst the investigation was on. A soft sigh escaped the woman's lips, as a small amount of mist danced in the air, indicating that it was still cold enough for her warm breath to be seen within. A soft shiver went down her spine as the wind blew against her brunette hair, once again sending a couple strands flying in multiple directions.

As both Mr Hastings and herself arrived, she stopped standing closer outside of the taped off perimeter, where Alexander was slightly further away, although within reaching distance and enough for her to be able to hear him if they needed to converse. Laura had saw that the commotion had already stopped as soon as they arrived. Hm, pity. She was hoping that she could've intervened somehow, but best not, especially with the shitty mood that she knew Mason was in. The reporter that was there earlier seemed to have walked away after saying god knows what to Casey and Benjamin along with the other Officers whom were on the scene. She'd ask Casey later perhaps to fill her in on what happened. Her brown eyes scanned the area, as she looked to see who was still here, and what she could potentially do; otherwise she'd head back over the Precinct and review the files yet again. Noticing that Mason, Aaron and Audrina were still around, and a couple civilians, particularly a grouchy looking Construction Worker. Lauren made a mental note, as she continued to look around seeing the EMT's take the new victim, placing him into a body bag ready to transport him to the Morgue; where more than likely Easter would be doing examinations, attempting to determine any more clues which Forensics could've missed - of course she'd be further examining in that process too, Laura already knew that.

A soft smile crept on her lips as her dimple appeared on the crevices of her cheeks again, her eyes diverting to see that Easter was walking away with Ben who seemed to have had young Oliver Reveille cuffed. She watched as he shoved her into the back seat of the squad car - oh Jesus, what did the kid do this time? Her smile quickly left as that thought about Oliver ran through her mind; he'd been so troubled since his sisters death and he was spiralling out of control. Upon reading Kiera's file, and his among with hearing gossip every now and again from her younger sister Rose on the phone, she knew that he was falling into the depths of despair and fast. Then again, everyone who had lost a loved one had been affected in different ways, and by far far from her profiling and observations, it had impacted him beyond extremes, to the point where he was barely coping. Laura was aware of this because she recognised similar patterns of behaviour between her team.

If only that boy would get some help...

If only they all could...

Eyeing Ben as Oliver was placed into the squad car, Lauren watched as Easter and him drove off towards the Precinct. There was no way in hell that Oliver would be able to afford an attorney on his own, however either way she'd still have to go in to question him, as one of the officers filled out the paperwork for his charges. Laura sighed again, God this was such a headache. Why couldn't things be simpler? Then again, she knew better. Being in this career meant that there would always be cases, she'd always be busy and she'd need to continue to take on cases in order to build her client basis, getting word out about her as a DDA, improving her reputation as a lawyer and one day, potential District Attorney. Snapping out of her short thoughts, the female listened as Alexander spoke to her, answering her question from earlier on whether or not he knew anything. She was surprised when he mentioned that he had witnessed Oliver talking to somebody in a sketchy neighbourhood; that could've been anything, however at this point in time; a lead was a lead. Nodding her head, another shiver went down her spine as she clutched herself - it was getting colder. Her eyes focused on Alexander again before responding. "Thankyou Mr Hastings - I appreciate that." She stated, reaching into her suit pocket pulling out a small business card with her details on it, she held it in her hand and directed her attention back towards Alexander, indicating for him to take the card. She supposed that she would make an ally out of a reporter rather than an enemy as most of the Media didn't have a great portrayal on the Authorities these days at all - that angered Laura a little bit, as they honestly were doing the best that they could and knowing that Cedar's citizens were potentially losing hope in them was gut wrenching.

The city needed to remain hopeful. If there was no hope, there was no light, which meant this sick fuck won.

She couldn't let that happen.

"Mr Hastings, these are my details; please feel free to contact me if you believe you may have found information, and I'll look into it, passing it onto my team. You'd be of a great assistance to us." Lauren smiled, pausing glancing at Casey and the rest of The Forensics and Detectives wrapping things up at the scene, which meant that Officers would've done statements and evidently that meant more work for her as soon as she got to the Precinct. She'd have to excuse herself. "Thankyou for that piece of information on Mr Reveille though, I'll be sure to follow that up. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got to go. We'll be in contact soon Alexander." She concluded as a flock of brunette hair turned in the opposite direction to Casey who seemed to not look good at all, she'd need a debrief on what everyone knew before she went back do her Office, digging into files and questioning suspects, and of course Oliver.

"Casey, what the hell happened before? I saw from across the road whilst I was answering a few questions and getting some of my own from Mr Hastings, the reporter. Any updates?" She asked, directing the last bit at Mason and of course Aaron too.
