Oh finally, food... Melissa thought with a sigh of relief, a sudden breeze of coffee and a few pastries wafting her way as she opened up the door to the small cafe she's been visiting since she arrived in town. It was probably the only place she was able to go to that she's been able to get a decent vibe off of, not having to worry about fitting in, whether or not she gave a damn about it. This was the stuff she lived for, and she was all for it either way. Though she just wished that she would be able to go somewhere without much of a worry in the world. She hums a little to herself as she waited a small while in line, checking the time. Not like she had anywhere to be, quite the opposite in fact, but she did note that she was in a little earlier than normal. Then again, when did she care all that much about it?

Either way, she took the opportunity. Would just mean waking up with a nice bit of coffee and maybe a muffin, if she decided to spoil herself, would be so much easier when she actually got it.

They seem a little understaffed... If I worked here, I'd offer, but I think that'd be a little weird... She thought to herself, shrugging off the thought soon after she let it go. Which was probably for the best, since it was her turn. Best to not weird the barista out as soon as she walked in there. Didn't help that she was raised for a good while of her life in a smaller town, where you could get along with most anyone. This was a larger City, at least in her eyes, and getting along with people was so much more difficult than she thought it would be. No wonder mom told me to just keep to myself, she huffed at the thought before the man in front of her moved to the side to wait for his order and so the smaller female behind him would be able to order her own treats for the morning.

"I'll just take a mint hot chocolate and a... Oh, let's go with a chocolate chip muffin," she said, getting out just above the amount she owed as her order popped up on the smaller screen in front of her. About as much as she normally ordered, though it was a little different, seeing as her desire for mint and chocolate made was a little stronger than her desire for coffee this morning. And it'd help her wake up with a happier flavor in her mouth in comparison to the coffee that left an odd, yet satisfying, taste in her mouth. And within these thoughts, she paid the man and stood off to the side as she got her order at a fast pace. Guess something a little more simple is better, after all. Less time to wait to go and do... Well, whatever she wanted to do, she supposed.

Taking her things with a kind smile and a quick thanks, she set off out to the streets to find somewhere to relax and eat her morning splurge. She had a normal spot, though the more she sat there, the more she noticed more and more people coming to sit there as well. Not like she had anything against them, she just figured that she would have an easier time thinking and eating in a place where there weren't so many people who would be prone to look at the new meat in town. Not like they did, they passed over her like she was another plastic bag bouncing along the sidewalk. Though her anxieties told her otherwise...

As she approached her normal spot, she saw that there wasn't a whole lot of people there, making her eyes brighten a small bit from their deep choclate state they were already in, going to more of a milk chocolate if you looked carefully enough. She immediately took her seat in the farthest spot there; just a small table, large enough for two people, though she'd find a way to get everything she owned on there soon enough. And so she sat down, taking in a breath of fresh air as she was finally able to sit down for a minute before digging into her muffin, leaving her hot chocolate open to the side to cool off for a little while as well.
