Combat boots slicked with rain could be heard walking down the street in a nearly rushed manner. The owner of the boots - and the one walking- was young Noctis Kennedy, and he was indeed in a hurry. A smile was plastered on the males face as he neared the mayors office, he had gotten a message about there being a new victim and he was needed there before too much got washed away. A bag bounced gently against the skinny males frame as he stepped under tape and made it to the body, kneeling down and taking various things from his bag. Quietly the man put on gloves and began collecting dirt from around the body, not paying much attention to those around him. He grinned and picked up a beetle from the body, dropping it in a jar and looking at it carefully. Nodding to himself, he placed the jar carefully back into the bag and stood up. That's when he noticed a very..peculiar thing. The body smelled fresh - didn't smell composed. Yet, upon closer inspection, there was already a chunk missing of the mans leg.

Raising a brow, the male crouched down and lifted something out of the hole. Looking at it, he chuckled slightly. It was larvae, blowfly larvae at that. Which was commonly found. But it was out of place, the kill was too recent. Noticing a trail of dark blood leading into the bush, he blinked. Storing the larvae in a container, he stood and followed it. His discovery was... Gruesome to say the least. "Can I get an officer over here since it appears Miss Easter left? Or should I... Nevermind." His voice tapered off as he sighed and carefully picked up the hands he had found. Careful because they were way past decomp, showing they had been off longer than the victim had even been dead. IF they belonged to the victim. He put them in an evidence bag and into his bag, heading back to the office.

After the long walk there, Noctis sighed as he descended down to the basement. It wasn't just Easter's office, his was down there too. They worked as a team. He had seen a man exiting, a man he didn't recognize. He set the bag down in his lab, going further into the room. "MISS EASTER!" Was what came from the small male, upon finding his colleague left for dead. He had been there as she was wheeled off in the ambulance, standing beside Benjamin. He gulped. "I- I passed the man on my way down here. I.. I knew he didn't look right. God why couldn't I have moved faster! Stupid stupid..." The male did this to himself alot. He turned to the officer. "I found hands at the scene. Way beyond decomp compared to the vic. Something isn't adding up, Officer. Now we're down one Forensic tech. God I hope Miss Easter is okay.." The boy was shaking by now, nervously tapping his foot.

Casey couldn't believe what he just heard. Was this lady serious? he thought to himself. They had the perimeter taped up before he even arrived to the scene. He couldn't have been there any sooner with traffic the way it was. He came immediately when he heard the call from his radio. They weren't doing our job to secure the area. This whole argument between them was Casey and Ben trying to get the civilians who were too close to the crime scene to step back a safe distance.

They had been doing exactly what she just accused them of being negligent of.

"You clearly don't know the first thing about our job." He raised his voice, agitation could be felt from his tone. He felt someone touch his arm. He turned to see it was Easter. "Don't let her rile you guys up. Wouldn't want her misquoting one of you. Abby would do anything for a story. It is all about sensationalism to sell papers." She told them.. He gave Abby his attention once more. Shaking his head in disappointment. "I sure hope your researching skills are better than your observation skills. Otherwise..." He flicked the tape that seperated them, that she claimed wasn't up. "I just might stick to the online blogs that kill your papers for my news source." He mocked as she walked away from them.

As Ben took Oliver and Easter away, he spent a few moments making sure the crowds kept their distance from the tape. He got as much statements from witnesses as he could. Sadly, it didnt lead up to anything they couldn't see already from the crime scene. No one saw his face or what happened. Just found the body where it was. And they were expected so solve the case with information like that at every crime scene? What a joke, he laughed to himself. His attention was grabbed by a familiar voice. He turned to see Lauren was asking him what happened between the reporter and himself. "Just typical civilians thinking they know more about police work then the cops who spend two and a half years at the acadamy." He laughed. She asked for details about the case. "I don't know if now's the time to talk about it. Why don't you and Ben come over for dinner sometime? We'll talk about it then." He said smiling at Lauren.

Casey felt his phone vibrate. He took his attention away from Laruen to check who was calling him. He noticed it was Easter and answered the call. He heard her whimper his name before the call disconnected.

"FUCK!" Casey screamed in a panic. He ran back to his car and yelled to the other cops he was heading to the station. He turned on his siren immediately before speeding off in the direction of the police station. He tried to get there as fast as he could. He saw paramedics there as he arrived. He saw Ben, with Noctis and ran straight to him. "What the fuck happened, Where's Easter?!" He yelled out with tears of nervousness in his eyes.
