I raced to the bathroom and ran into a stall. I took my shoes off and put them on the ground to make it look like I was using the bathroom. But, I wasn't. My legs burned; itched. My feet disappeared and in their place was an aqua tail. Oh, and my hair! The highlights were back too. I heard Addison rush in. No! I groaned. "C?" She called. I pulled my shoes up and prayed she wouldn't look under the stall. My tail was sooo long! "C?" She repeated. I was sitting on the wet toilet, with no hope of drying off. She knocked on the stall door. "Crystal, are you okay?" "Yeah." I sighed. Addison didn't understand. She never would. Sure, she was weird, we both were, but she wasn't this weird. Was she part fish? "Why'd you follow me?" I asked. "I saw the look of panic on your face when you left so I flipped Madi's desk over. When Mrs. Thompson told me to go see the principal too, I followed you here instead." "Wow..." I breathed. Addison was the best friend ever (and apparently really strong too!). She would understand, right? I hoped so. I slowly opened the stall door to Addison's worried face. That worry turned to shock in a matter of seconds. "What'd you do to your hair?" Her eyes took in the rest of my body. Tears ran down her checks. "Oh, Crystal! I always dreamed this would happen!" She turned on the sink, and floated the water pouring from it over her head. My jaw dropped. "How?" I managed to choke out. "Don't worry, I'll teach you one day." The water dropped from above her, and a maroon tail appeared in place of Addie's legs.
