Eric paused. Then he sighed. "I'm not sure." Addison and I were confused. He continued on. "I... I can't.. remember. I just remember... that it's not near here." "Oh." Addison said. "Can you give us a second?" We swam to another section of the cave, where he couldn't see. I dried my tail off and Addison followed. "How do we keep our hair like this? He saw it before." "Just keep your hair damp, and the color will stay." I did and we made our way to where Eric was sitting. "Come home with me. I'm sure my mom will understand." His face lit up. Then we realized- the only way out of the cave was by swimming. Addie shot me a look of pure terror. "He's gonna know!" She hissed. "Doesn't he already?" I whispered back. "Can we go?" Eric asked. Addison and I jumped into the water, followed by Eric. I turned around and saw that Eric had a tail. It was grey, with silver and green that matched his eyes streaked through it. His hair was still brown with green streaks. He looked down at it; scared. He swam next to me and his eyes widened when he saw my tail. When we reached the opening of the cave to get a breath, he asked me "How?". I replied "I have no idea. This is only my second day." He gasped. "Me too! Yesterday was my birthday." "No way! Me too." He stared at me with a look of understanding. "Yesterday I went for a swim, and this weird lady pulled me under and asked if I had something. By then, I had a tail and I ended up here. Where am I?" "You're in Grand Isle, Louisiana. Come on, let's get to my house." We said goodbye to Addison, and swam to my beach front home. We dried off and lost our tails and hair color, and we walked into the house. "You can have the guest room."
