The week flew by, and before we knew it, Eric, Addison, and I were squeezed together in a bus seat headed to Charleston. Addie was reading Harry Potter, I think, and Eric was staring out the window, his face gradually becoming dark. I nudged him. "What's up?" "Nothing." He replied. "Really?" I asked. He sighed. "No. Something keeps bothering me, but I can't remember what it is." He stopped and his eyes rolled back. "Eric? Eric!" I shook him back and forth. His eyes went back to normal, but he had a terrified look on his face. But here's what really scared me: the tiny bit of revenge mixed in. "What was that?!" I practically screamed. He stared at me with obvious fear. "Crystal..." Eric whispered. "It's Madi. Madi did it." "What?" I asked. "She made me... You know.." "What?" I repeated. "Mer!" He hissed in my ear. I sighed. "Madi? Really? I mean, sure she's mean, but not to the 'sea witch' level!" "I swear, it's her! She just had.. black hair." "Swearing is a nasty habit!" I joked. He glared at me. "No really, Madi found me in Charleston and she did it so... so.. I would.." "Spit it out!" I practically shouted, earning a glare from Addison from interrupting her reading. "Find you. She set me up to find you." My mouth dropped open and the water bottle sitting next to me started steaming. "You what?!" Eric stared at me. "Stop that!" The water bottle stopped, but I sure didn't calm down! "You.. you traitor! As if we'd ever be blood mates!" The bus stopped for dinner, giving me the perfect chance to storm into Wendy's.
