Thank you!
WARNING: Another nightmare chapter.

"I"ll never grow out of tutus mama," I say defiantly and smile up at her hopefully, "But maybe someday we could go shopping for more big girl clothes?"
"Of course," Mama says, "I promise."
There's that word again.
That one word that for some reason makes me feel unsteady.
Mama rest her hand on my cheek gently.
It's so cold.
She cradles my head and I snuggle into her embrace while she strokes my hair softly.
We stayed there for a while listening to each other's heart beats.
I wake up an hour later while laying in bed with mama coughing excessively.
I quickly sit up and begin to pat her back. Eventually, she stops and gives me another weak smile before laying back down and I snuggle back up to her comfortably. I lay my head back on her chest and furrow my eyebrows as I listen to her breathing, which is really shallow. I then see something red in the corner of my eye, but I choose to ignore it and go back to sleep.
When I open my eyes again I see my mama still next to me. But instead of seeing my mama who has beautiful caramel skin and chocolate hair, I see a dead, rotting, corpse.
I scream, pressing my hand against my mouth, and run out of the hospital room into the hallway. All the lights are off and it seems oddly cold.
I shiver and ignore the terror coursing through my veins and walk down the empty halls, looking for my daddy.
I then hear strange whispers coming from behind me. I turn and see a shadow-like creature creeping slowly towards me. I get scared and immediately start running down the halls.
The shadow follows me, just on my tail. I keep running and running, but I couldn't get away. It eventually had me cornered.
Pressing my back against the wall behind me, I cower in fear as it stalks towards me. Then it lunges at me and just as it's cold hands wrap around my neck, everything disappears, and I'm falling down a dark hole.
I could still feel the shadow's hands on my neck, choking me and making all the air in my lungs escape. I claw at my neck, trying to pry its hands off of my neck, but nothing is there.
Finally, my world fades and my pain is gone.
~Liza.
