Right into this. . .

September seventh, 2007,
It's the first day of school and my stomach is doing cartwheels across America. I'm not nervous because of school, no, I'm nervous because today will be the first time I'm going to see Emi ever since our fight.
I never realized this until a few days ago but I really, really miss her. I wish that I can just go back in time and not say those awful things to her. I plan on apologizing today but I'm scared that she'll ignore me and never talk to me ever again.
I decide to be lazy and put on some dark skinny jeans, black sweater with a kitty cat paw print in the corner, and place my hair into a messy bun. I put on eyeliner and mascara and place my glasses on my face. I grab a muffin from the kitchen counter and place my backpack on my shoulder before I walk out of the house.
"Hey Saph," I hear and turn around to see Eithen run across the street to talk to me.
"My uh, car broke down last night," He says nervously, "Can you maybe give me a ride?"
I smile and nod my head.
"Yeah sure," I say, "Hop in and let's go, I don't want to be late on our first day back."
Eithen smiles.
"Thanks Saph."
I nod my head again and we walk towards my brand new white 2007 Audi A5 that I bought a week after I got my license with some money I was saving.
(her car <<<<<<<33333333)
I smoothly drive towards school and we show up in only a few minutes. We had fifteen minutes before first period so we went to McDonalds first, cause why not?
When Eithen and I step out of my car everyone stares at us. I'm confused at first but then I look towards Eithen and something in my brain clicks. He's still one of the most popular kids in school and I am one of the most average kids in school.
Not quite a match.
I awkwardly try to walk away from Eithen after I get out, but he keeps in pace with me. When I try to walk away again he grabs my wrist.
"Why are you trying to walk away?" He whispers.
I look down guiltily and he squeezes my wrist.
"I guess it's just," I sigh, "You're super popular and I'm super average, I really don't wanna weigh you down."
Eithen smiles lightly.
"You could never weigh me down," he whispers, "Now we should go to our first class, we only have seven minutes left."
I nod and we continue walking down the crowded halls. As we walk Eithen's hand somehow slips from my wrist and cups my hand, and I don't let go.
Right before we make it to first block, we turn a corner and run into and Ema pearl. I gasp and so does Ema as small tears form in my eyes. Eithen slowly lets go of my hand and I hesitanlty take a step forward as more tears fall. Tears fall down Emi's face as well and at the same time we leap towards each other.
My arms wrap around her shoulders and she squeezes me tightly as we both cry into each other.
"S-Sophi o-oh my God I am so s-sorry," Emi sobs lightly.
"No, n-no," I whisper and bury my face in her shoulder, "I-I'm sorry, I never m-meant any of what I s-said and I w-wish I could take it b-back."
"I n-never m-meant to hurt y-you," Emi whispers.
"I know," I whisper, "I-I know."
And we stay in each other's embraces until we have to pull apart.
"Can we be friends again," Emi says, "Cause it really sucks not having you around."
I laugh lightly and nod my head.
"I would love that," I say and take her hand in mine.
I turn slightly to see Eithen smile at me and give me a thumbs up before he points to his first class.
"I'll leave you too be," He mouths to me.
I nod my head and he disappears into the room. And Emi and I walk hand in hand towards our first class.
I have my best friend back.

"You know what we should do," Emi says as we walk towards the lunch room, "We should go out for lunch."
I smile and nod at her idea.
"Yeah we won't mind if you come," I say as we turn a corner.
"Woah, woah , woah, wait," Emi says and we stop, "We?"
"Yeah," I say casually, "Eithen and I."
I swear I see Emi stop breathing for a few seconds and she grabs my hand.
"And when did that happen?" She asks incredulously.
I laugh as I remember she doesn't know how Eithen and I have been hanging out a lot. I spend the next three minutes explaining what happened after our fight and how Eithen took care of me a bit, and how all summer we hung out a lot and I even spent a few nights at his house. By the time I'm done Emi is in spasms and is fangirling hard core.
"Yeah, yeah no," she says, "I'm not gonna ruin a potential romantic evening with Eithen, I'll just go out by myself."
"Hey girls," Eithen pops up out of nowhere and Emi yelps.
I chuckle and stay calm cause well, I'm used to it from him.
"Hay Eithen, oh Emi's coming with us for lunch," I say.
Emi starts to protest but Eithen cuts her off.
"Great Nolan's coming too," he says and casually places his arm around my shoulder.
I look back towards Emi and see her staring at Eithen's arm and choking on her own spit.
"You okay Emi?" I ask smugly.
"I-I-I," she says, "I need to use the bathroom."
And with that she disappears into the girl's room.
Eithen and I chuckle and high five. Yes we've been planning on hooking up Emi and Nolan for quite some time. Even during Emi and I's fight I still cared for it and since I hung out With Eithen a lot it was a given.
When EIthen came back out Nolan was with us so she almost fainted again. We walked towards my car and Emi flipped out cause she didn't even know I got my license yet. Eithen and I sit in the front, forcing Emi and Nolan to sit by each other in the back.
We quickly get food at my restaurant and I smile as I watch my friends chow down on some food.
I finally have my life straight and I love it so much.
