The rest of the summer goes by in a blur. I end up repainting my bedroom, because well, I don't know why. I paint over my mama's flowers with a nice teal blue and I trade in my plain green trim for some black trim.
I have a few sleepovers with Eithen and I hang out with him and Connor a lot. Their relationship seems to have mended a little bit. I still haven't figured out the exact reason why they ever started fighting but my new goal was to find out.
Oh and my dad, I actually get him to come and visit mama.

"I don't know about this Sophia, it's been years since I've actually went to see her," My dad says as I drag him through the cemetery.
"It's okay," I say, "All you have to do is talk and she'll listen."
"But she's-" he starts to say and looks down sadly.
I smile sadly at him and squeeze his hand.
"Just talk," I whisper.
He sighs and I continue walking him up the pathway until we walk towards the familiar stone cross that stood up out of the ground. I hear dad gasp lightly and his grip on my hand tightens.
"All you need to do is talk," I remind him and turn to see slight tears in his eyes, "I'll leave you be for a few minutes."
He nods and continues to stare at the stone. He then slightly traces mama's name on the and I walk away as I hear him whisper a small, "Hello Mira,"
I walk behind a small oak tree that sat off to the side and sat on the ground as I watch my dad kneel down next to the stone. His shoulders shake lightly as he continues to speak and I soon hear a small laugh bubble up from him. That brings a smile on my face and tears to my eyes. He's finally visited her, he's finally talked to her, and he's finally beginning to move on.

July 30, 2007,
I stand in an airport with tears in my eyes. Not because my father is leaving again, no, this time Catherine is leaving. Her father got a job change and his office was moved to New York City. She told me only a few days ago and now she stands in front of me with her bags at her sides and tears in her eyes as well.
Finally I smile slightly and we rush towards each other. I encase her in a warm tight hug as she cries into my shoulder and I cry into her brown hair.
"Hey," she says and sniffs, pulling away slightly, "I can still visit sometimes."
"Yeah," I say and smile at her.
Just then the intercom turns on,
"Flight 302 for New York is now boarding, flight 302 is for New York is now boarding."
I smile at Cathy and she hugs me one last time before walking away.
"HEY!" I scream at her as she's half way across the room, "Go and visit Camp halfblood for me, will ya?"
She smiles sadly and nods before turning around and disappearing in the bustling crowd.
