Meant to be?

Chapter 9

K(evin)POV

Oh my god, Scott and Mitch are getting way too out of hand. They've already broken 3 vases and stained the carpet with their drinks.

It's going to take a lot more than me and Esther to get them under control.

"Where's Luke?!" Esther screamed over the music.

I turned and looked toward Scott and Mitch. There he was. Wasted just as much as them.

"There." I pointed to the three of them dancing uncontrollably.

"Oh god..." Esther said.

"This is going to be worse than I thought."

"We need more help."

"Yeah. Hey.. Where's Avi and Kirstie?"

"You know... I don't know. I haven't seen them all night.."

Uh-oh. They better not be doing anything! What am I saying? Avi's a good boy he wouldn't try anything. Confident in my conclusion me and Esther wondered the house looking for our little love birds. About 20 minutes went by with no luck, and we met up back where we started.

"Any luck?"

"Nah, you?"

"Nope."

"Where is yo brotha girl?! Don't you have some kind of tracking device or something?!"

"No, Kevin! That's weird!" She said laughing "They'll probably be back anytime now."

"Ya, maybe."

About another 5 minutes went by and we saw Avi and Kirstie walk through the door.......holding hands.

"I guess they made it official." I said as I nudged Esther.

"AWEE HOW CUTE!"

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, most adorable thing in the world. Can we get Scott and Mitch out of here before they ruin anything else please?"

"Oh yeah right!"

We ran up to them and scared the living daylight out of them. We didn't mean to, but it made Kirstie scream. It was kind of funny actually. Avi didn't really get scared, he never really does though. So I don't even try.

"What the hell Kevin!!!" Kirstie screamed.

"Babe, it's okay." Avi said wrapping his arm around her.

Babe? They DID make it official. I turned to Esther and she had the same look on her face. We stood there just smirking at them for a good 3-4 minutes.

"Okay, guys that's enough." Avi said laughing.

"Your right. There will be plenty of time to tease later. Right now we have to get Scott and Mitch out of here!" Esther said.

We started to go towards Scott and Mitch and pulled them out of the crowd.

"Kevin.. What the fu-"

"Shhhhhh" Mitch said cutting him off. "Don't say that. That's not nice."

"You're being mean right now."

"Hey guys it's time to go."Avi said.

Scott and Mitch stared at Avi and Kirstie holding hands and became wide-eyed.

"Why are you two holding hands???"

"Are y'all daaaaaating?"

They bombarded them questions.

"Yes. Now let's go."

Avi said pulling them by their collers out the door.

"Hey! Hey! Hey! Watch the threads." Scott said.

"Come on!" Avi said.

"No."

They both sat on the ground where they were.

"We're not going anywhere!" Mitch said.

"No no no." Scott laughed.

Avi looked over at me, and I gave him a nod. He picked up Scott and threw him over his shoulder while I did the same with Mitch. Both of them immediately started throwing tantrums like 2 year olds.

"PUT ME DOWN!" Both of them screamed.

"NO TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION!" Mitch screamed.

Yup. He was more than drunk. We finally got to the car and we shoved them in the back seat, and threw their seat belts on them.

"Thanks, Avi. Esther will drive and I'll ride with her and you and Kirstie take my car." I said throwing him the keys. We had rented two cars since we were staying here for couple days before heading to the next show.

"Okay? You sure?" He asked.

"Yeah. Go ahead we got to get back and get these two under control." I said.

Avi and Kirstie walked to my car while I stood at the passenger door dreading the ride back.

"KEVIN. I NEED TO DANCE WITH MY QUEEN!"

"Beyoncé wasn't at the party Scott."

"QUIT TELLING ME LIES KEVIN!!"

This was going to be a looooong ride..
