Chapter 22

APOV

Okay.. Well Kevin just left so now no one is here. Maybe if I believe hard enough I can wake up. Oh my goodness listen to me, I'm talking like I'm in some sort of fairy tale. Okay here we go. Annnnnnnnd WAKE UP! Come on..... WAKE UP!!!

COME. ON. AVI. WAKE. UP!

Suddenly my eyes popped open and I was blinded by the room's bright lights. Once my eyes adjusted to the lights I looked around the room. There was no one in the room. They probably got tired of waiting. I looked around and saw I was hooked up to a bunch of tubes and whatnot. I tried to sit up, but there was a sharp pain in my abdomen area. I looked down and saw I was all bandaged up. Oh right, I was stabbed. I looked around for my phone because it's obvious no one is going to come in here anytime soon. I look and see it on a table beside my bed. I reach out my hand to grab it.

Damn..

Just out of reach. I muster up enough energy and quickly turning over, grab it and plop back to my original position. The pain seared through my abdomen and chest.

Not going to do that again.

I immediately go to my messages and text Kirstie. I hope she doesnt get too weirded out.

KPOV

I was still sitting on the counter when my phone vibrated again. It's probably Mitch again. I pick it up and almost drop it when I see what's on my screen.

A: Hey beautiful! :* I'm awake.

I shove my phone in my pocket and bolt out of the bathroom. If this is some kind of joke I swear to god...

As I was running through the waiting room I could hear Scott, Mitch, and Kevin yell my name.

"KIRSTIE?!"

That wasn't important right now. Avi is finally awake! I finally make it to his room, and open the door. He looks up and smiles that killer smile.

"Hey babe."

I couldn't hold it in any longer I immediately started to cry as I walked over to him.

"Awwwe Kirst." He said chuckling. He held out his hands for me to hug him, but I was extremely carefull not to hurt him.

"I thought you weren't going to wake up." I cried into his chest. I know the doctor told me he was going to be fine, but I had my doubts. I felt him flinch and I immediately pulled back.

"I'm okay." He smiled.

I smiled back and leaned in to kiss him. Our lips fit perfectly together like we were made for each other, ment to be if you will. He kissed me back hungerly and his hand slipped to my waist. I brought my hand up from his chest into his hair, and his tounge grazed against my lip and I gained him entrence. The kiss became more passionate and deeper by the second until we heard someone clear their throat behind us. Very loudly.

*AHEM*

We quickly pulled apart and I turned around to see Scott, Kevin, Mitch, Esther, Ben, everyone mouths gaped wide. My face immediately flushed a deep red and I turned away and saw Avi's was slightly flushed as well. There was a loooong awkward silence before Kevin spoke up.

"Uhm... Well, do y'all want to be alone or..." He trailed off.

"No, no, it's okay." We both said.

"Okay, but you wont try and concieve children in front of us, will you?" Mitch asked.

By this time Avi and I are WELL embarassed and our faces are glowing red. Everyone laughed at Mitch's joke and we both chuckled, I mean it was pretty funny.

"Anyway! How you feeling man?" Kevin asked.

"I... Erm... Better. I guess I just need rest." He said caught off gaurd. I assume he was still thinking about Mitch's joke.

"Good." He replied.

Just as Scott was about to say something the nurse came in.

"Oh. Mr. Kaplan, you're awake."

"That I am." He chuckled.

"Good then. Okay, well the doctor said for you to stay a few more days to keep you under observation and make sure you're healing properly."

"Sounds good." He said.

"Great. The doctor will most likely come in a bit later to give you the same run down, maybe some other information. You're very lucky Mr. Kaplan. These people care a lot about you." She said exiting the room smiling.

"Yeah, I know." He said looking at all of us and taking my hand in his. We all gathered around Avi's bed and formed a group hug. We stood there in silence hugging. It felt right, everyone I could ever need right here with me.
