Chapter 17

APOV

Today is the day. I looked at the clock. 12:30. 6 hours until I have to go to the warehouse. After the dream last night I have been parinoid and the pit in my stomach hasn't left. I don't expect it to any time soon though. I need to get ready, I can't risk being even the slightest bit late. I walked to where I kept my clothes and pulled out a plain black T-shirt, jeans, and everything else I needed. I walked to the bathroom and closed the door. I set my clothes on the counter and looked in the mirror. I looked horrible, I look like I haven't slept in a couple weeks. Maybe a shower will do some good.

After my shower I walked out already changed drying my hair, and looked at the clock.

2:00?!

"It's about time Avi!!" Scott said from behind me.

"Wow, was I really in there for that long?"

"Yeah, we were getting worried, thought you got lost in there." He said laughing.

"Oh." I chuckled. "Nope, just....thinking."

"It'll be okay man."

He walked to the back with Kevin, Mitch, and Esther, then a couple minutes later I joined them.

"Y'all wanna grab something to eat?" Mitch asked.

"Sure." They all mumbled.

"Okay, let's go then."

We all got in our cars and went to a burger place. We walked inside and sat down.

"How can I help y'all today?" The waitress asked.

They all ordered, then she got to me.

"What'll you have, sir?"

"Oh, I'm not hungry. Thank you though."

"That's fine. I'll be out with your food shortly." She said with a smile and walked off.

"Avi, dude you gotta eat something." Kevin said.

"I'm not hungry."

He eventually just let me be. He knew I wasn't going to change my mind anytime soon. The food got to the table and everyone started eating. I just sat there quiet for what seemed like a life time just checking my phone almost every five minutes. Everytime I did, the pit in my stomach got bigger and bigger, knowing the time was coming. When everyone had finished eating I checked my phone again.

4:30...

"We should probably start heading to the warehouse." I say getting up and walking towards the door. Immediately everyone gets up and follows. We all get in our cars and drive to the place. I drive to the front and the others drive to the back. There aren't any windows, which is good. If Matt saw that is wasn't just me I would lose Kirstie for sure. I pull out my phone and look at the time.

6:25...

This is it.

Now it's time.
