Lana's POV
Well, it had to happen at some point I guess. I just didn't think it would be so soon. I'm referring to Baron Corbin.
We used to date a long time ago, before we both got expelled for hacking the computers to change our attendance. And he also beat up one of the lucha's, who used to be our guidance counselors before the Dudley Boyz came.
I don't know why I was freaking out so much. We ended it for reasons. I found Rusev and he decided he didn't need me. But his return was giving me the jitters.
We were in Mr. Swagger's class and I was doing my notes for the chapter, as he instructed. The whole class was silent until we heard a knock on the door.
"I'll get it," Mr. Swagger jumped out of his seat and opened the door to reveal no other than Baron Corbin.
"You," Jack groaned and got in his face.
"Relax, I'm not here to start trouble, I just returned to school this morning and I'm really looking to not get expelled again."
Mr. Swagger sighed and let him in. He took a seat in the back, as usual. Baron hadn't changed much in his appearance. Still the bad boy type that I fell in love with a few years ago. But, nonetheless we would not be getting back together.
After class was lunch and I couldn't be happier. I wanted to avoid Baron as much as possible, because I knew the first thing he would ask me would be how I was, and I didn't feel like answering that question.
"I know right?" I heard Becky say she sat down outside with us.
"What's up?" I asked her after she sat down next to Sasha.
"We just can't believe that Paige and Alberto slept together," Sasha told me.
My mouth dropped open and I dropped my fork on the ground. Carmella and Bayley had the same reaction, as well as Alexa. In fact, all of the girls had a shocking reaction.
"That is disgusting, I've lost my appetite," Brie commented and pushed her tray away from her.
"Everyone, shut up, our target is approaching us," Charlotte whispered as Paige sat down.
"Hi, guys."
We all just pretended to look busy by eating our food or playing with our finger nails. I was not impressed with what Paige had done. I mean, Dean was actually in love with her, and she tried so hard to get with him, and then she left him for Alberto. But, I already knew Dean had moved on.
"Listen, I know you guys know, and I don't care if you like what I did, but it happened and you all need to get over it," Paige told us and then dug into her lunch.
Becky rolled her eyes. "Paige, it was just stupid, it's not that we don't support you, it was just plain stupid of you."
The rest of us just nodded our heads in agreement. Becky wasn't wrong. I was actually happy that the girls had taken me in as their friend again. I was afraid after I left, they wouldn't want to be my friend again.
"Whatever, I love Alberto."
"He's no prize," Natalya said from across the table.
Paige rolled her eyes. "I don't care, he's cuter than Dean."
"Where is your head at? Alberto is not the cuter one!" Sasha yelled at her.
"Maybe not in your opinion."
"Would now be a good time to mention that Dean has moved on?" I commented and they all looked at me.
Brie scooted closer to me. "Say what?"
"Dean's already moved on. He doesn't have a new girlfriend, but they are getting close if you ask me."
All the girls looked at me, with wide eyes. Renee was looking at the ground and I was hoping they didn't start asking me more questions.
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Seth and Roman walking towards me.
"Hey, Roman," Sasha said and he stopped to kiss her, but Seth walked pass Charlotte.
He pulled me aside. "Why are you blurting out that Dean has moved on?"
I looked at the ground. "I didn't mean to."
"Whatever, just don't tell people who he's interested in, until he says they're an actual thing," Seth started to walk away. "Come on, Roman," he said and grabbed Roman away from Sasha.
I didn't plan on telling anyone else what I knew.
Enzo's POV
Ahh, a nice a hot shower. That was just what I needed after the day I had had. I hadn't even wrestled yet, but my first few classes were just tiring to me.
I stepped out and went for my clothes, but they weren't there. The showers were on the other side of the locker room, so I raced back to the locker room door and started pounding on it. I knew who had done this.
"Cass! Open the door! This is not funny!"
No answer.
"Do you know what isn't going to be funny? When you're getting beat up by me!"
The door still didn't budge.
"Whatever, I'll just walk around I guess," I mumbled to myself.
Thank goodness there was no one in the hallway, that was the last thing I needed, to run into anyone. Well, that didn't last long, because before I knew it, I was face to face with Lana. We just stared each other for a moment. Then, Rusev ran towards us.
"Hey, what is this? Why are you naked in front of my girlfriend?" He got in my face.
"Your ex-girlfriend," Lana groaned.
"Is this your new man?" Rusev scoffed.
"Hell no," Cass appeared behind me.
"This is your fault," I mumbled to him.
"Nobody asked you," he pointed a finger at Cass. "Get some clothes on and I'm going to crush you in the ring."
He and Lana then walked away. I didn't know why Lana walked away with that monster, she just specifically said that they were done, so why did she leave with him?
"Zo, put that thing away, I'm going to get you some clothes," Cass shook his head and headed for the locker room.
"All y'all a cuppa haters," I mumbled to myself.
After Rusev beat me in class that day, I wanted to go home and crawl in my bed and sleep. But that was not an option, because I had to go to work.
I worked at The Sunshine Mall, which was in Orlando, Florida, and that was convenient because that's where our school was. I worked at Bath and Body Works.
I walked into work with my apron on and a hand sanitizer clipped to my upper right shoulder. But, I just couldn't smile, I was not in the mood for this. I still couldn't remember why I had taken the night shift anyway.
"Enzo!" I heard Liv Morgan shriek.
That was a voice I loved so much.
Liv attended NXT Prep, which is where a lot of people started out, and then transferred to WWE Academy. That's what Cass and I had done. Liv and I were also secretly dating, and no one knew because I wasn't ready to share yet, not even with Cass.
"Liv!" I yelled as she hugged me.
"It sucks that work is the only time I get to see you."
I sighed. "I know, but I actually have something I want to ask you."
She perked up. "What?"
"I've asked the principal of my school, now all you have to do is ask your principal," I said handing her a permission slip.
"What is this?"
"Liv, I want to know if you'll go to Spring Fling with me?"
She squealed and gave me a kiss. "Of course I will go with you!"
This was a great end to a crappy day.
