Chapter 59

Chris' POV

I was so excited for today. Kevin and I were having a Festival of Friendship. Instead of having gym, Kevin and I got our celebration time then.

While waiting for gym, I was currently in Mr. Ryder's class. He was teaching about something I had no idea how to do.

"And that is how x cannot equal x when it's greater than 0," Zack explained.

"Woah, woah, woah," Dean started. "Back it up, because I didn't understand any of that."

Zack shook his head in disappointment and then Dean faced Nikki. "Nikki Bella, do you understand any of this?"

She nodded and I almost wanted to laugh. Gym was coming up soon, and I was happy. I changed into a sequined jacket, and a matching fedora. I had some of the girls even agree to be dancers and accompany me to the ring.

My music hit and I walked out, happy as could be. I danced as Brie and Nikki each had an arm and escorted me to the ring. Kevin's theme was next, and he walked out, in sweatpants, and he looked like he didn't care. I had stuff set up in the ring and I was ready to unleash it.

"Uh, Chris, what is all this?" Kevin asked.

"Well, for one, Kevin, I just wanted to say that you are my best friend, and I went through a lot of trouble to find this for you, so the first item I present to you is," I ripped off the cloth. "A statue of intertwined friendship!"

Kevin was confused, but I knew he loved it. And I had one more thing to show him.

"Chris, this is all really great, but-" I cut him off.

"Kevin, I have one more thing to symbolize our friendship," I said and revealed a painting.

Kevin's eyes grew wide. "Uh, it's unique."

I smiled and then Kevin held up his mic. "Chris, I really don't know what to say about all of this, I mean, you went all out, and I only got you one thing," he said and handed me a small box.

When I opened it, I was beaming. "Alright! A new list! Thanks Kevin, you know, the old was getting pretty beat up, so I thank you," I then noticed that my name was on it.

"Wait, why is my name on this list?" I asked confused. I then flipped it over to see a huge KO on the back of it, and then Kevin attacked me.

He threw me on the ground, and destroyed the entire Festival. I was lying on the ground as Kevin walked out of the gym. I was so confused, one minute we're friends, and then the next minute, he was beating me up. If this was how Dean and Roman felt when Seth stabbed them in the back, it sucked.

"This scenario seems familiar," I heard Dean smirk from the bleachers as I left. 

"Guys, stop making references to when I joined the Authority my freshman year, that was two years ago, geez," Seth screamed in anger.

"We're just stating that you did stab us in the back and it was unexpected, and it really just surprised us."

"Whatever, Shield."

I ignored the rest of their conversation, as I headed back with the medical staff. They checked for any fractures, breaks, or anything else.

"Chris, are you on any medications?" Scott, head of medical staff asked me.

"No, you stupid idiot."

"Okay, well, you're fine, just stay on the low tomorrow, don't fight in school."

I nodded and then they left. Charly of course, appeared with her pencil and notepad wanting an interview for the school paper.

"So, Chris, you're best friend, Kevin Owens just betrayed you, how do you feel?" She asked.

"I feel disrespected, and stupid, to believe that he was my friend, and I am absolutely stunned at what he did to me, after everything I've done for him!" I yelled and she nodded then walked away.

I was still surprised of what Kevin had just did.

AJ's POV

We were sitting in gym, as usual. Dean was ranting all day about how he wanted to beat up Baron Corbin, and I was waiting for that. But, according to John he was fighting James Ellsworth. I was waiting for that, I had beaten James and Dean could hit him and win.

"My knee is finally okay! I can wrestle again!" Seth yelled to his friends.

"Yay! This means my boys can finally have a match!" Nikki squealed.

"What?" Roman asked confused.

"The Student Council and I have decided that we need a fundraiser, so therefore, we're letting the fans in next Friday to see all of their dream matches!"

"Nicole Bella, what do you mean?" Dean asked.

"I mean that you three will be having a match, so be prepared to fight next week."

I over heard all of this and I knew I'd be having a match the following Friday as well. Just then, I noticed Apollo Crews had slipped into the seat next to me.

"Hey, you're Apollo Crews," I greeted him.

"And you're AJ Styles."

I laughed. "So, you liking the Academy?"

He nodded and that's when Mr. Ziggler rushed over to us.

"Listen up, Apollo, I know we aren't on friendly terms, but I really need you on my swim team for next year."

Apollo looked at him. "Why?"

"Because that new kid, Samoa tried out, and I don't want him on the team."

Apollo was even more confused now. "So you need me?"

"I don't want him on the team because he only did it to see his ex-girlfriend, Alexa Bliss, who's the water girl in her attire," Mr. Ziggler pleaded.

Apollo finally gave in. "Alright, I'll join for your team next year."

Apollo was new and he had a good shot, meaning he'd be on the team for awhile.

"So, you and Mr. Ziggler aren't on friendly terms, huh?" I asked, hoping to get the scoop.

"Uh, yeah, but it's nothing too personal."

I let it go at that. I could see he didn't want to talk about it. I saw James enter the ring, alongside Carmella, and the entire gym was booing them.

"Don't boo her!" James shouted. "I'm her only boo."

I saw Cass and Enzo slap their foreheads. And honesty, I could agree. James's puns were always terrible and Carmella hated him. She just pranced around with him for some reason that no one could figure out.

He looked frightened as he always did and Dean's music hadn't even played yet.

Dean's music hit and he wasn't out there within the two seconds that he usually was. And after a while, we all got concerned. I knew that even if Dean was joking about being late to the ring, he would've been out here by now.

I saw Baron drag Dean out by the back of his shirt and he looked defeated. Baron threw him around and beat him up. He then threw him through a table and that's when Shane, Daniel, and Mick had to pull him off of Dean. I saw Dean whisper something to Shane and then he was escorted away.

I hoped he was okay. This gym match was unexpected.
