Tom's POV
Corey informed me today that his parents own a golf course. I didn't even know Corey golfed.
"What are you wearing?" I asked as he stepped into the room the next morning.
"My golfing attire, duh."
I rolled my eyes. I texted Renee and told her to come over here, and to bring everyone else with her.
She knocked and a cheerful Corey went to answer. "What do you need, Renee?"
She just brushed past him and sat down next me. "Corey, you look ridiculous."
He closed the door. "I don't care what you guys say, I'm going golfing, and honestly, you guys should come with me."
Cathy was the first to say something. "Corey, if we go golfing with you, will you shut up?"
"Gosh, you don't have to he so harsh about it, I just wanted to go golfing, but, I guess you guys can tag along," he smirked.
I changed into khaki shorts and a polo tee and the girls also changed. We drove Corey's car down to his parents golf course. It was fairly nice, and I had no idea his parents even owned a golf course.
Noelle stepped out and threw her sunglasses on her face and grabbed her clubs. "Where first, Mr. Graves?"
He squinted through his glasses. "Oh, did you guys presume we'd be walking the course?"
We all nodded and then he took us to where all the golf carts were located.
"Do you have your own cart?" Charly asked.
Corey smiled and we all got in the golf cart. He was driving really fast and I thought we were all going to fall out of it.
"Corey, don't you think you're going a little fast?" Renee yelled as she hung onto the side of the cart as Corey made a sharp turn.
He slammed on the breaks and we almost all went flying forward. "Well, here's the first hole, who wants to take the first swing?"
We all glanced at each other and Cathy stepped up. She was wearing a skater skirt and a long sleeved shirt and her hair was in braids. She walked up to the tee and lined it up, but didn't swing.
"Do you even know how to golf?" JoJo asked from behind her.
Cathy turned around. "I've played Wii Sports, I mean, it can't be much different, right?"
She swung and it landed in a decent spot. Even Corey was impressed.
"Nice swing, Kelley. Phillips, let's see what you got," Corey smirked.
"Who made you the boss of this group?" Renee popped her hip.
"Listen, Renee, I was practically raised on this course. I know it frontwards and backwards."
She mimicked him as we all took our swings. As we drove through the whole course, it all came down to the last hole to see who would be the victor of this match. Corey, of course was in the lead, but Renee was tied with him.
"You know, Young, if you want to forfeit now, I won't hold it against you," he put his hands up.
She slid her sunglasses down. "Graves, are you scared you're going to lose to a girl?"
He laughed and then stepped up to putt. If Corey got it in, then he'd win, however, if he missed, then Renee still had a chance.
Just as Corey was about to putt, Renee stepped in front of him. "Hey, Mr. Golfing Expert, don't you need someone to hold the flag before you putt the ball in?"
