It was almost midday, and we had advanced a whole bunch. We were currently on our third set, and I had concluded that the boys were the best people I had ever worked with. They let me use my mind to captivate the shots, and I loved their way of going with my flow.
"Alright, Gus. You are done for this set," I said looking down at my camera, looking through previous pictures him. "You look great." I said showing him one.
"I know," he nodded and flipped his imaginary hair, snapping his fingers in sassy arm flick. I watched him do all that laughing at his humor. I took a seat next to Tom, who was busy on his phone.
"Tom," Gustav called for him, signaling him to the dressing room, where the other guys were at. Soon after Alan took a seat next to me, and patted my back.
"Having fun?" he asked, leaning his head on my shoulder. I overlapped his head with mine, nodding yes. I was having the best time with the guys. The whole day I tried to avoid Georg, but even when it was his turn to do solo shots, he still found a way to make me laugh.
"The guys are planning to get lunch, it's almost two, and they want to have some time today so they can take us to the city," Alan explained looking through the shots I had taken.
"Ok. But can I at least finish Tom's solo pictures before? It just that I'm motivated right now and if I ignore it and leave then I won't be able to back into it again," I said.
"Alright let me check with the guys," Alan said handing me my camera. I nodded and let my hair out the clip. I put my head in my hands, thinking about how hungry I was. I just wanted to get the set done before losing the spark of it. So my hunger would have to wait. I grabbed my camera, and looked through the roll, admiring each picture, choosing the not so good ones. I came across a slip picture of Alan laying on the floor, after he got "burned" by the hair dyer, and for some weird reason that reminded me of brother. Traveling for these photoshoots were the most amazing part of my life, but even then, I still missed my brother, and my mom. Sometimes I wished I could take them everywhere with me. I scrolled more into the roll, comparing some with another. I could hear the boys speaking loud German, through the dressing room door. I looked up at the set and looked at every detail. The neon lights, the splattered paint on the wall, the light glowing, everything was perfect. I couldn't help myself but take a picture of it alone. I looked back at the picture, and smiled at myself, I was so going to frame that when I got home.
I zoomed in on a detail, I hadn't notice, there was a signature. Putting my camera down on the chair, I walked up to the set touching the wall where the name was located at. Rivers. By habit, I looked down at the tattoo on the side on hand, Rivers. I laughed at the memory of the day I got that name on me. Oh, how I cried the whole time, but Rivers crying too, because she was getting Tana on her. The sight of each other crying just made us laugh and cry, that we looked like two possessed girls. I smuggled a laugh at that thought, running my hand over the name.
"Tana?" I turned around to see Tom standing not too far from me.
"What you got there?" he asked, walking towards me, looking at where my hand was still touching.
"It says Rivers, like my tattoo," I said, showing my hand, comparing the signatures. His thumb rubbed over my hand, and looked at me.
"You knew the creator of the set?" he asked me.
"Yeah, she and I were really close, like sisters, a few years back, but we kind of just drifted apart," I said looking at the name.
"I never knew what she did with her life, or if she continued her dream of art, but seeing the set today. I knew that was something special about it and I couldn't explain it, until I took a picture and I zoomed in and saw her name. It was so well hidden in between the scattered paint, but me being a photographer, I notice every detail. I guess it made sense of why I loved it, " I continued while looking around.
"Yeah I know what you mean. Actually she left a few minutes before we arrived, maybe if we would've gotten here earlier, you and her could've reunited," he said sitting on the two seater sofa on set, patting the spot next to him.
"No that's ok. I'm glad we didn't. We didn't exactly end on good terms," I said sitting next to him, placing my head on his shoulder. He moved his arm across him to rub my head. It was like something everyone did, and it felt nice. I closed my eyes for a bit, enjoying the moment.
"So, what did you guys conclude with?" I asked.
"Oh, they went to buy food, so we should probably start my solo shots. I want to eat when they get here," he said, laughing. I could feel the vibration of his laugh, making me laugh.
"Alright let's get to it," I said getting up from the sofa, running to the camera. I agreed with him, as soon as they got here I wanted to eat.
