The tension was strong. My eyes stared into the eyes in front of me. I wasn't going to give in no matter what. Anything could be thrown at me but I would be victorious. That was until someone opened the bus door.
"Ha, I won," Gustav threw his fist in the air as a sign of victory. I sat back in my seat, pouting my lip in defeat. I just wanted to win a staring contest with him even if it was just once.
"What are you guys doing?" the voice of my now enemy asked. I turned my head slowly, eyes squinting in annoyance. There stood a confused Alan.
"Well I was winning a staring contest until someone, you, came in scared me. So now I am nothing but a loser," I tried to make myself sound as petty as I could so that he would feel regret for coming in.
"Tana, you're a loser regardless," Gustav chimed in as he walked back to the front with a piece of bread in hand. I stuck my tongue out at him, then looked away with my arms crossed to display my feelings.
"Fine next time I'll let you win," his words barely audible with bread in his mouth. Before I could answer the bus door made a loud noise as the rest Bill and Tom came in. I watched behind them for Georg to come in but he never did. Even though I tried not display any signs of being upset, I guessed I failed.
"You good, T? You were fine just a couple minutes ago," Alan took a seat next to me to analyze my face. I put my head in his shoulder, nodding that I was fine.
"It's ok, Tana if I saw Tom's ugly face come in I'd get depressed too," Gustav said while looking at Tom to see his reaction.
"Gustav fuck you," Tom lifted his middle finger up in the air to which Gustav reciproated. I sat back up, a small giggle couldn't be held back. I was used to this back and forth bickering between those two. I checked the time on my phone, wondering where Georg could be.
"Ima go take a walk, I feel stuffy," I announced to the members.
"Make sure you take your phone in case you get lost we can find you," Gustav advised me before turning back to his phone.
"If you want Georg was at coffee shop we went to this morning, go there and ask him to join you," Bill suggested. I nodded my head. I opened the door, exiting from the cold into warm weather. It wasn't too bad here compared to the last city we were in. Let me just say that I felt as if my fingers were going to fall off.
After walking for a few minutes, I reached the coffee shop but had no luck finding Georg. I stayed for ten minutes as I drank my coffee in case he was in the bathroom but if he was he never came out.
"I guess I'll walk alone," I stood up ready to begin my walk into the city.
