"Tana, you are amazing," Bill said as he looked over the pictures again. I leaned on the staircase as the boys all settled around the tv."I know," I joked, nodding yes. A train of "Ooo's" followed my comment, by the boys. I laughed at them, watching Bill react to the shots.
"Tana, come sit, we're gonna watch a movie," Alan suggested, making a small space between him and Tom. I thought about it and shook my head no, I didn't want to be between them, right now. I was still kinda embarrassed by Tom's comment, and I didn't want to start anything again.
"Um, no you're not," I cleared. The boys turned their eyes to me, confused. I stood up straight and took out my phone.
"It's 3:30, and you guys said that we were leaving at 5 since there's a house of 6 plus people, we are going to start getting ready," I said, stating instructions. The boys all looked at me with emotionless stares, and for a second I thought they were going to tell me off.
"Alright, you guys heard the girl," Gustav said, getting up from his seat, walking towards the stairs.
"I'm showering first," he said before going up. The rest of us quickly followed him upstairs.
-------------------------------------
We had all finished getting ready, all but Bill, who would change into one outfit, into another.
"Come on, Bill," Tom yelled from the bottom of the stairs. I sat between Georg and Gustav, playing on my phone. I was bored, and I just wanted to leave. From the corner of my eye, I could see Bill come down, in the same outfit he had on originally. I looked at him annoyed, and he just gave a small giggle.
"Alright, let's get going. Tom and I are taking our cars," Georg said, standing up.
"I can fit like four people in mine," Tom said. I sat quietly, waiting for them to decide where I was going to fit in. I zoned out a bit, slightly paying attention to them, just overhearing Tom claim some of the guys to ride with.
"Alright, Tana you'll ride with me," I heard Georg say. That's when I snapped back into reality, but before I could say anything the other guys were rushing out the door, and into Tom's car. I stood at the doorway, looking at them, mentally killing them for this. I could feel Georg's hand touch my lower back.
"Let's go," he said, passing next to me. I turned the lights off behind me, closing the door, once again mentally killing the boys. Reaching to open his car's door, I got in, putting my belt on. Sitting quietly, I watched as he put his seat belt on and turned the car on. My ears were greeted with one of their newer songs. I let out a muffled laugh.
"What?" he asked amused.
"You listen to your own music," I joked, looking at him. He rolled his eyes at me and laughed. His laugh made me want to laugh even more.
"What can I say we're pretty great," he said, looking at me with a smile. I was enjoying the moment until I remembered the fact that Diana still existed. I think he noticed my smile fade, changing the mood, because he began to drive behind Tom, saying no more comments with a serious face. Speaking of her, at that moment his phone rang, which he answered on speaker. I took my earphones out and put them on, playing loud music, to not hear their conversation. Although I was focused on my phone, I could see Georg talking, slightly frustrated, by the ways he would throw his hands up. I tried not to stare at him, so he wouldn't think I was listening, because I wasn't. I was so zoned out that I didn't notice, him trying to talk to me until he placed his hand on my thigh. I looked at him, taking my earphones out.
"Sorry about that," he apologized, his hand remaining on my leg.
"It's fine, she's your girlfriend you have to answer when she calls," I said trying to break this awkwardness, that was killing me. he laughed and shook his head.
"Ex. She just called and broke up with me because she couldn't deal with the distance," he said. I looked at him, with sorry eyes.
"I'm sorry," I said.
"No, it's fine, she always does this. When she misses me the most, she breaks up with me, and then a few days or weeks later she's calling again," he explained. I couldn't help but feel sorry, that was no way to live in a relationship. It just causes dysfunction, and in the end, someone ends up getting hurt, and it's even harder to live like that. I didn't respond and just nodded my head, moving my leg away from him.
"Look I'm sorry the way I was with you before. I don't want you to think that I'm the groupie type of band member because I'm not. I shouldn't have done anything that made it seem like I was making move on you while still being with Diana. So, how about we try again?" he said looking at me, as he stopped at the light.
"Yeah, that'd be nice," I said, nodding my head. A fresh new start.
