"So you're leaving again?" my mom asked as she watched me put my clothes into the dyer. We had a short little break to go back home and rest for the next part of the tour. The boys currently staying at Alan's house since he had more space for them and would come over at night for dinner.
"Si, mama," I answered back. Closing the dyer, I looked up to her watching her eyes change emotions. I would tell that she was trying not to show that she was upset about me not staying but I noticed it anyway. I walked up close to her, pulling her into a hug. It took her a while to respond back but she eventually did.
"I'll be back before you know it, ma," I said to her softly. I could feel her head nod.
"And since the time zones aren't going to be so different, you can call me at any time."
"Tienes razon, mija," she answered back. I knew that part of her wanted to ask me to stay but she couldn't bring herself to doing so.
"Vamos, we have to make dinner," she said, breaking the silence. I tapped my phone screen to check the time, in about half hour the boys would arrive to eat. Lately things had been weird between me and Georg but we would still talk to each other before going to sleep. He got along great with my mom. Whenever they arrived and we still weren't done with dinner, he'd offer to help out and set the table. It earned him points with my mom who at first didn't trust him. Elijah loved him too. For the past few days, after dinner Eli and Georg would play video games until late night. To be honest, everyone pretty much knew that the two of us had a thing, but they just weren't sure. Even though it had been Georg to want to keep things quiet, lately he had been pushing for people to know. But now it was me who wasn't ready.
