Christmas and New Years Eve had gone by way to fast and before I knew it, we were home. This holiday had been perfect and maybe even the best one. The day after Christmas Eve we had opened gifts at Maura's house and Niall gotten me a gift card from Victoria's Secret and a beautiful necklace with a charm formed as a heart. The necklace was really beautiful and I wore it everyday.

We had celebrated New Years Eve with the girls and the boys at Liam's place and we had a blast. Except the day after though. The hangover had been so bad and I hadn't stopped puking after five or six hours. The headache had been painful and I thought I was going to die. I've learned my lesson now; Never drink to much! Niall had been fine the day after so he was occupied with babysitting me. I knew that the vacation was going to end but I really didn't want it to.

I was now on my way to the bookshop. I hadn't been working for a while but Bethany didn't mind. She was used to run the bookshop by herself and she would always have little Philip help her around when she needed it. Bethany had always been like family to Liam and I. She used to babysit us when we were younger so she had been there for us trough everything. I don't think you'll ever meet someone as nice as Bethany.

The familiar building came to view and a smile crept onto my face. And suddenly it hit me how much I had been missing it. I walked in the door and heard the familiar bell ring. Philip was sitting with his back towards be and when he heard the bell, he turned around and is face lit up.

"Lex!" He screamed while running over to me. I bent down and he flew into my arms and I picked him up. "I have missed you so much Lexie and grandma too. And we went to the zoo yesterday and I saw cute animals and I wanted to take them home and...." He rambled on while his crystal blue eyes sparkled. He was such a little cute boy. I ruffled his light brown hair and was so busy hugging Philip that I hadn't notice Bethany walking towards us.

"Oh dear!" Bethany said and engulfed me in a hug. When we pulled away I saw a few tears in the corner of her eyes. "Don't cry Beth!" I said to her and flashed a warm smile.

"Sorry, it's just that I've missed you honey." She said and I smiled back at her. Philip was still sitting on my hip and I watched him. He was one of those kids who had a pure heart of gold. He was good to anyone and he I always found him smiling. He loved this bookshop so much. Philip always used to go between the big shelves and sometime I would find him sitting by a table in the middle of all the shelves, and he would play with Lego or trying to read a book.

"How's the store going?" I asked while taking my jacket off and laid purse behind the counter.

"It's been really good! Many have been in here and some of them comes everyday to stop by with coffee, to talk or to buy a book." She said happily.

"That's great!" The doorbell rang and we turned around. A boy my age walked inside and Bethany went forward to hug him. When Beth pulled away, I got a full view of the boy and my jaw fell to the floor. I didn't thought that I would see him again.

"Ashton?"

(A/N: Yey! Ashton is back :) So I was on school yesterday and it sucked. I really want and need longer vacations. The rest of this school year is going to be stressful and I am already under a lot of pressure after one day. On Wednesday I have my mid term in math so I really have to study and I have a test on Friday. Ugh! I don't know when I'll be able to update, but I will when I get the time.)
