The last time I had seen Ashton was that one time at the library when I was pissed at Niall. That feels like ages ago when it really was just a month. My first impression of Ashton was that he was a really cutie and a polite one. Even though we had exchanged numbers back then, we had never called each other which was kind of a shame. I would love to have him as a friend.
"Lexie. Hi." Ashton said shocked. Bethany looked between us and raised an eyebrow. "Do you teens know each other?"
"Yeah, kind of." I laughed and Ashton smiled. "Well go on and talk!" Bethany hushed us over to the table standing in the middle of all the shelves. I walked over to the table and sat down on a chair and Ashton sat down opposite of me.
"So, how you been?" He asked awkwardly. It was kinda awkward since we had only met one time before.
"I've been good. Really good. How about you?" I smiled. He scratched himself in the neck with his arm before he answered.
"Not bad. The Notebook was a good book by the way." He laughed softly. At first I didn't understand what he was talking about but then I remembered. The first time that we had met each other he had held The Notebook in his hands and he had blushed when I mentioned it. I laughed with him before our laughed died down and it was complete silence. This time it wasn't that awkward but still.
"I recommend The perks of being a wallflower if you haven't read it" I said and he nodded his head. "I've heard good things about it." He responded. I was about to speak but Ashton beat me to it.
"I'm sorry for not calling. I've been busy" He laughed nervously. "Yeah, me to."
"With what if I may ask?" He was polite when he talked. "I was with my boyfriend, brother and our friends. We went to Ireland." I explained and he nodded his head. "How about you?" I wondered out loud while tapping my fingers lightly under the table.
"Not much. Went back to Australia to celebrate Christmas with my family. And when I got back here I met a girl." He blushed. We had only met two times before but it felt so natural talking to him like we had known each other for a long time.
"You love her?" I asked him and he let out a little girl giggle and I had to smile. "How about you? Do you love your boy?" Ashton asked and I nodded my head. "Yes, very much." I smiled.
We had been sitting and talking for about two hours and I had really gotten to know him. He played drums and he really love music. He told me all about his girlfriend and from what I had heard she was really sweet girl. Ashton spoke with such passion when he talked about her and it made me smile so big. I consider Ashton my friend now. Philip appeared by the table with his Lego pieces and he sat down. He started building this read and blue Lego house but Ashton didn't seem to mind that Philip had joined us. Neither did I.
It was so good to see Bethany and Philip again. I hadn't really thought about how much I had missed before now. They were like a part of my family. Suddenly my phone vibrated in my pocket and I took it out. I didn't even bother to look at the caller ID.
"Hello?" I asked and waited for someone to answer.
"Lexie, is that you?" Danielle spoke and I replied with a yes.
"Omg, you have to help me. I'm freaking out!" She yelled trough the phone.
"Woah, calm down!" I laughed.
"You have to come over. I seriously need someone know." She was sobbing now.
"Aren't Liam there?" I asked curious.
"I can't talk to him about it. I need you." She begged and started to get worried.
"Okay, I'm on my way." I said and hung up.
