Chapter 45

We were now on our way to Niall's mum's house. When we landed at Dublin airport we had gotten our suitcases and then ordered some taxi's. Danielle, Liam, Niall and I in one taxi and then Eleanor, Perrie and Louis in one and in the last one sat Zayn and Harry.

"We're there in three minutes!" Niall jumped excited. His sudden outburst of joy made me smile and I could hear Danielle and Liam laugh.

"Mate, how long has it been since you've been here?" Liam asked and I found myself very interested in the answer.

"It's been like a year or something." He said as he focused on the road. I could tell that Niall really loved his family and from what I have heard they love him too. It was so adorable how excited he could get.

"We're here!" Niall yelled loud which made everyone cover their ears. This boy could really scream like a girl. The car pulled up to a light brown house. The house wasn't big but it wasn't small either. Niall jumped out of the car and the rest of us stumbled out from the backseats. The door to the house opened and a woman in her forty-fifties appeared in the door frame. A smile was playing on her lips as Niall ran towards her and engulfed her into a hug.

"Niall! So long since you have been here! You know that an old woman like me needs help from her children at all times." She joked and Niall let out a small laugh.

"You're looking as young and beautiful as always mum." He said and she let out a giggle. Who would knew that someone Niall, covered in tattoos and a bad boy image would be so soft on the inside?

"Now, where is this lovely girl you talked about on the phone?" She asked and my stomach twisted. This is it. I really hope she likes me. Yes, I've had boyfriends before but none of them invited me home to meet their parents so this was a big deal for me.

"She's right here." Niall said as I walked towards them. "Mum, this is Lexie, Lexie this is Maura. My mum." I don't think I have ever seen Niall smile this big and that made me smile.

"Hi, I'm Lexie." I reached out my hand for her to shake but instead she pulled me in for a hug. I hugged her back and it felt like one of those hugs I used to have with my mum. We pulled away and she was still smiling.

"Oh dear. It's a pleasure to meet you. Niall have been telling me so much about you." I looked at Niall.

"Nothing bad I hope." I joked and she laughed in return. Niall pulled me closer to him by wrapping his arm around my waist. This made Maura giggle again and looked at us in awe.

"Now get your bags so we can all get you settled!" She said and we all started to grab our things. On our way in everyone gave hugs to Maura and she told all of the boys that they have to stop growing.

"Harry, you can sleep in this room here". Maura said as she showed Harry a room. Eleanor, Perrie, Zayn and Louis had already gotten their rooms. "Thanks Maura. Think I'm gonna sleep now. See ya all tomorrow." Harry said and disappeared into the room and closed the door behind him. It was already 11 in the evening and everyone was getting quite tired. "Danielle and Liam here." Maura said while pushing a door open to a new bedroom. Danielle and Liam thanked her and said their good nights. Now it was just Niall and I left with Maura and she guided us to the next room.

"Here you go love birds. I'll see you tomorrow but now get some sleep. Christmas Eve tomorrow guys!" She said excited.

"Thank you so much Maura. Sleep tight." I said and she nodded her head and walked away. Niall dragged our suitcases into the room and dropped them on the floor. The room was medium sized and had a king sized bed. I closed the door behind me and was reading to collapse on the bed when Niall walked over to me.

"I love you." he whispered against my ear that sent chills down my spine. I kissed him on the lips and then hugged him tight. I nuzzled my head in the crook of his neck.

"I love you." I said loud enough for him to hear and I could feel him smile. I was so in love with Niall. And I wouldn't mind spending the rest of my life with him.
