Chapter 36

"Lexie, what are you doing here?" Liam asked and I stood there in shock. I couldn't get a word out. I was absolutely speechless. 

"V-visiting?" I stuttered and it came out like a question. Liam furrowed his eyebrows. He was about to say something when Niall suddenly yelled.

"Who is it babe?" My eyes widened and my cheeks started to heat up.

"Omg, did you sleep with him?!" Liam asked and I shook my head.

"No Li!" I whispered and then Niall showed up beside me.

"Oh, hi Liam." He said nervously and scratched his neck awkwardly.

"You two have some explaining to do!" Liam said and made his way past us and into the living room. Niall and I followed scared as hell.

Liam sat down on one of the couches and Niall and I sat down on another one. It was an awkward silence at first but then Liam spoke.

"How?" He asked confused and Niall grabbed my hand.

"We had actually met before you introduced us at your birthday party." I said and looked down at my lap.

"Where?" Liam continued.

"At a party." Niall said and Liam nodded. It grew silent again. My heart was beating in my throat and my palms started to get warm and sweaty. Liam is the only family I've got so his opinion means so much.

"So you guys are together now?" Liam asked and Niall and I nervously nodded our heads.

"I hope you're not mad, Li." I said

"No, I'm not mad. Just shocked." He cracked a smile and it was then I knew that he was okay with it. I walked over to him and hugged him tight. I felt like a huge burden was lifted away from my shoulders and I could finally breathe normal again.

"But just so we are clear," he said as I pulled away. "If you ever hurt my lil'sis I will kill you, Niall." he said half serious half joke. Niall laughed and nodded his head. 

"I would never do anything to hurt her." He said which made made me smile. We sat there for a few minutes before I felt the sudden urge to go to the ladies room if you know what I mean.

"Gotta go. Duty calls." I said as I ran away to the bathroom. I walked into the bathroom and did what I came there for and then washed my hands. I took a look in the mirror and the reflection was horrible. My hair was a mess and I had black bags under my eyes. I groaned and sat my hair up in a ponytail, There wasn't much to do with the black bags so I just had to let that go for now. 

I walked out of the bathroom and was about to walk back into the living room when I heard a few words I think I was not supposed to hear. I could hear Niall and Liam talk and from what I heard It did not sound good.

"What about the drugs?" Niall whisper yelled.

What drugs?

"I don't know, but what I do know is that Lexie can't  find out. She will be so upset and angry and then she might kill us both!" Liam whisper yelled.

"Yeah I agree." Niall nodded. What the fuck were they talking about?! I felt myself heat up out of anger. Liam was right. Maybe I had to kill them both. Because they were not going to get away with this.
