Chapter 4: Asking

I was feeling better today for some reason and Jake was sleeping next me. It was already morning so I got up and took a shower and as I was putting clothes on, Jake woke up "Hey beautiful " he said while stretching "Hey, look who's finally up" I teased  as I put on my skinny strapped floral dress and he hugged me and I felt a little bump "I feel a little bump coming on" I said said feeling my stomach "Really!! can I feel?? " Jake asked and I nodded, he put his hand on my stomach and felt it. "Wow that's beautiful" he said as he shed a tear. I barely saw him cry after our wedding which is kind of weird because we've been married for awhile now. I put on sandals and went downstairs where Alex and Abigail were talking about the nursery for the baby "I really would want it to be purple" Abigail said  "How about blue?? it's cute" Alex said "That's like a boy color in my perspective" she said "Then BABY blue" he said "No" she said "What's going on??" I asked "Yeah, it looks like a cat fight" Jake said and I hit him in arm making him a sign that it was disrespectful. "Back me up here Molly, isn't the color supposed to be purple??" She asked expecting me to say yes but to be fair, blue is my favorite color. "Sorry, I have to go with blue" I said " Fine blue and purple" Alex said because if he didn't make it right then he would be sleeping on the couch for the night, scratch that he would be sleeping on the couch for the rest of the month.
After Alex and Abigail had their little disagreement, they told me and Jake that they wanted to talk to us about something so we all gathered in the living room and we sat down on the couch "Abs, you wanted to talk to us about something, so here we are" I said "Okay, so me and Alex have been talking and we realized how much we missed you guys, well mostly Lily but you guys being here is the greatest thing ever and we want it to stay that way, so me and Alex are asking you guys if you can stay with us-----forever" she said and I looked at her with wide eyes. Me and Jake didn't say anything, we kept staring at her with wide eyes "Aren't you guys going to say anything??" She asked "Oh yeah sorry, Abs that's a generous offer but I don't think we can----" I got cut off by Jake "She don't think we can accept until we've thought about it" he said and I looked at him in shock "Yayyyy" Abigail said "Okay, me and Alex will go and let you think about it" she said and they left.

"Jake what is wrong with you??" I whispered yelled "What do you mean??" He asked "We can't stay here" I said "Why not?? I mean it's a beautiful house, if it's about being in the same house then we'll buy our own house beautiful" he said while grabbing me by waist and pulling me towards him "They need their privacy and what about my job, our jobs actually" I said "Molly you're pregnant for heaven's sake, do you think Mr.Matthew will let you come to work??" He asked while raising his voice a little "Molly?? What happened to beautiful??" I asked sadly and he sighed "I'm sorry...beautiful but I just don't want to go back to the freezing cold again, I mean you've got to admit, Florida is pretty nice" he said "Oh, are hurricanes nice?? Are floods nice??" I said "But you've got a roof over your head" he said "Listen Jake, I know you want to live here with your best friends and I do too but I just want what's best for the baby, our baby" I said "But--" I cut him off "But nothing Jake, we are not staying here, this discussion is over" I said as I furiously went to my room. Jake sighed and Abigail came in the living room "She doesn't want to stay, does she??" Abigail asked and Jake turned "No, she doesn't, I'm sorry" he said "I understand" she said sadly.

Abigail P.O.V
"Why doesn't Lilly want to stay here??" I asked Alex "I don't know baby girl" he said "Can't she see how much we miss them, well mostly her" I said and Alex glared at me "Sorry baby, but I really want them to stay here" I said sadly "I know you do but you have to respect her decision" he said while grabbing me by the waist and pulling me towards him "Why do you want them to stay so bad??" He asked "Well it's because, I want them to see our baby grow up, and I want to show Luna the power of our friendship, I can't raise that baby all on my own" I said sadly "You've got me and you know Molls is pregnant too" he said "I know, I'm sorry for ever thinking that" I said "It's okay baby girl and don't worry, I don't think that's her final decision, let her sleep on it" he said "We'll see" I said and I kissed Alex goodnight and we went to bed.

I overheard Abigail and Alex talking, I felt bad that I made her sad. I took a shower, brushed my teeth, put on my pajamas, put my hair in a messy bun, and after I was done, I sat on the edge of the bed waiting for Jake to come upstairs. I kept replaying the words I said to him while we were arguing and tears were starting to fall down on my cheeks, after a few minutes Jake came in and he saw tears in my eyes, he quickly walk towards me and kneeled down to the ground "Beautiful what's wrong??" He asked "I'm so sorry for what I said, I didn't mean them" I said "It's okay, it's okay, come here, shh" Jake said while pulling me into his chest. After a few minutes I felt better, "Beautiful, I understand if you don't want to live here, I accept your decision" he said while planting a kiss on my forehead "Thank you but can I have a meeting with them tomorrow" I said "Sure" he said and I kissed him goodnight and we went to bed.
I woke up this morning and I quickly took a shower, brushed my teeth, put my hair in a high ponytail, put on a light makeup, put on a floral dress because my stomach was getting bigger since it's my second month of being pregnant, I grabbed my sandals and went downstairs leaving Jake who's still sleeping. I found Abigail and Alex making breakfast "Hey guys" I said "Hey Lilly" Abigail said "Hey Molls" Alex said "Alex you have got to find a new nickname for me" I teased "How about Olly?!" He asked "Noo, No disrespect Oscar" I said to myself "Who's Oscar??" He asked "He was in a boy band that I'm still obsessed with so he left the group and I'm not happy about it but it's his decision, so I respect it" I said "Wow" he said "Yeah wow, Can I have a talk with you guys in the L.R." I said "L.R.??" Abigail said "Living room baby girl" he said "Oh, my bad" she said and we went to the living room and they sat down "Um guys, I'm sorry, I overreacted yesterday and I apologize for that, that was a generous offer and I thought about it all night and I decided that-----."
