Chapter 15: Hurting without even knowing

I woke up today, and I made the bed because Jake already left to work, and I was not working today because I had the day off. I went to Oscar's room so I can wake him up but he was already up, "Well, I didn't expect to see you up" I teased "Morning mom, I have to go to Luna's house so we can catch the bus for school" he said "That's sweet honey, but hurry up because I'm making breakfast" I said and he nodded. I went downstairs to the kitchen so I could make breakfast, I made pancakes, bacon, and eggs, and I poured some fresh OJ aka Orange juice into a glass. After I was done, I called for Oscar and he came downstairs. We sat together and ate breakfast, "Mom, thanks for breakfast but I have to go get Luna" Oscar said while standing up "Okay honey, have a great day at school, love you" I said while giving him a hug "Love you too and have a great day" he said while planting a kiss on my cheek and he left out the door. I put the dishes into the dishwasher and I went to go get ready because I was going to the mall with Abigail.

Oscar P.O.V
I walked out to the door, and I went to Luna's house and I rung the doorbell. After a few seconds of waiting, the door opened revealing Aunt Abigail, "Hey aunt Abigail" I said "Hey handsome" she said while pulling me into a hug. "I'm here to pick up Luna" I said "Okay, come on in, she'll be down in a second" she said and I entered the house. I went to the living room and I sat down on the couch, then I heard uncle Alex talking and he came into the living room "Oscar buddy, I didn't know you were here" he said while we do our handshake "I'm here to pick up Luna" I said nervously "Oh I see" he teased making me blush. After a few minutes Luna came down, she was wearing a floral dress and combat boots, and she had her curls down, she looked drop dead gorgeous. "Hi Oscar" she said while giving me a hug "Hey Luna" I said while blushing, "Do I look okay??" She asked shyly "You look beautiful" I said making her blush, and we heard the honking of the bus outside "Ready to go??" I asked "Ready" she replied. "Bye uncle Alex, bye aunt Abigail" I said "Bye mom, bye daddy" she said and we left out the door to the bus.

Luna P.O.V
We both entered the bus and every eyes was at us including Amy the witch, I rolled my eyes at the sight of her, we both got our seats next to each other and Amy was in front of us. She turned around and glared at me "Hey Oscar" she said "Hi..Amy" he replied unsure "Wanna come sit with me??" She asked "No thanks" he said and I let out a sigh of relief. "But promise, that you'll sit with me tomorrow" she said and I rolled my eyes "I can't because...." He said making me a sign to continue "Because my dad is going to drive us to school, sorry" I said "Do you know her dad??" She asked him "Let's just say that our parents are best friends" he said and I smiled. She glared at me before turning around back to her seat, "Thanks, nice save" he said "You're welcome" I said laughing "But is your dad going to be there to drive us to school??" he asked "Yeah, he has the day off" I said "Good, for a second there I thought I was gonna have to sit with her" he said relieved. "You don't like her either??" I asked "She's being mean to you and I don't like it because nobody messes with my best friend" he said "Aww thanks" I said as I planted a kiss on his cheek without even thinking. I realized what I did and he did too and we both turned red, "Sorry, I-I-I didn't mean to do it, I mean I meant to do it" I stuttered "Luna it's okay" he said while laughing "sorry" I blushed.

The bus arrived at school and all of us got off including me and Oscar, "Do you wanna go to the cafeteria??" Oscar asked "I have to go to my locker, but I'll meet you there" I said and he nodded and left. I went to my locker and I put my sweater and my book bag in there and I went to Mrs. McDonald, after I went to Mrs. McDonald to help her with grading papers, I went straight to the cafeteria, I searched for Oscar and he was sitting with Amy the witch. I rolled my eyes at the sight of her, Oscar signaled me to come sit by him but I shook my head and I sat by myself, Some kind of best friend you are I thought. After a few minutes, Mrs. McDonald came to take us to our classroom, we entered and Amy was still clinging onto Oscar like a lost puppy but not a cute puppy, an evil one. We all took our seats and Oscar sat next to me but I didn't pay any attention to him, "Good morning class, today we're going to work in pairs" Mrs. McDonald said great, that's just awesome (note the sarcasm) I thought while rolling my eyes. "You guys get to pick your partner" she said "I pick Oscar!!" Amy shouted "Okay but I wanted to work with Luna, no offense Amy" he said "Mrs. McDonald, can I work by myself??" I asked and Oscar looked at me with confused eyes. "Sure Luna" she said and I nodded, "Have fun with Amy, Oscar" I said coldly while moving my desk to a corner by myself. I worked by myself feeling all sad and lonely, but I don't know what I was feeling inside, was I hurting without even knowing???
