We arrived at Abigail's house and she opened the door for us. "Hey Abs" I said and she looked at me sadly, "What happened mom??" Luna asked, "I have something to tell all of you" she said while closing the door. We all went to the living room to find Alex and Jake, "What are you doing here honey??" I asked Jake, "Abigail wanted all of us here" he said while getting up and giving me a kiss. We all sat down in silence, "I wanted all of you guys here because me and Alex have something to tell you, including Luna" she said and the silence persisted. "Me and the family----are moving" she said and my eyes went wide.
Luna P.O.V
"Me and the family----are moving" my mom said, "What?!?" I said shocked, "But I don't want to move mom" I said. "I'm sorry sweetie but my job is sending me to Washington D.C" she said, "Washington D.C!!!!, mom that's far from here" I said. "I'm sorry sweetie, but we don't have a choice" she said sadly. "There's always a choice mom, my birthday is coming up and I want to celebrate it here, with Oscar" I said softly, "I'm sorry honey but we can't, we're moving in two weeks" she said and tears started forming in my eyes. "So this whole trip to six flags was to tell me about this, well I don't want to go anymore, you guys just ruined my happiness" I said while running to my room with tears in my eyes.
Oscar P.O.V
"Mom, can I go talk to Luna??" I asked, and she looked at Aunt Abigail, "Sure handsome, go ahead" she said and I nodded. I walked up the stairs to Luna's room, I heard sobbing coming from inside, "Luna, it's me, Oscar" I said while knocking on the door. "Go away!!" She shouted and I felt bad, "Please, open the door" I begged and after a few seconds, she opened the door. I got in and she locked the door, we sat down on her bed and she cleared her eyes, "I'm sorry Luna" I said softly "It's not your fault Oscar" she replied. "I'm gonna miss you though" I said and she weakly smiled in response, "I'm gonna miss you too Oscar" she said, "It's okay Luna, we'll talk everyday, we'll always be best friends" I said "Promise??" She asked while holding out her pinky finger "Promise" I said while putting my pinky finger with hers.
"Abs, this doesn't make sense, you said that we would always be together" I said, "I'm so sorry Lilly, but we don't have a choice" she said sadly. "Well, can Luna stay??" I asked, "I'm sorry but she can't" she replied, "I understand" I said while turning around. I went home, ran to my room and sobbed on my bed, after a few minutes, Jake came in. "Beautiful, are you okay??" He asked, "No, my best friend is moving away, she's the reason I stayed in this state" I said, "I know but you have to understand that you can't be together all the time" he said and I nodded, "Good now come here" he said while pulling me to his chest. "It's going to be okay, you'll see her again someday" he said while caressing my back, "Thank you" I mumbled "You're welcome" he replied while planting a kiss on my forehead.
* 2 weeks later *
Luna P.O.V
"Luna?? Sweetie?? Are you all packed??" My mom asked, "Yeah mom, I'm all packed" I replied while rolling my eyes. I hated that I was moving, moving meant new house, new school, new friends, new everything, "I'm really sorry about this sweetie" My mom said. "I get it mom, you're sorry and so am I" I said while getting my bag and going downstairs to find my dad loading up the car, "Hey princess" he said, "Hey dad" I said while I got in the car. I was forgetting something, I forgot to say goodbye to Oscar, I quickly opened the door and ran to his house, I rung the doorbell twice. After a few seconds, Oscar opened the door and he looked like he been crying. "Oh, hey Luna" he said softly, "Hi Oscar" I said holding the tears, "I just wanted to come say one last goodbye" I said, "Oh okay, I wanted to give you this so you can remember me by" he said while giving me a little red box.
I opened it to find a beautiful silver necklace with a crescent moon around it, "It's beautiful Oscar, thank you" I said as I stared at the necklace in awe, "Can I??" He asked and I nodded, I turned around and lifted up my hair, he put it around my neck and I turned back around. "I'm sure going to miss you" he said, "You're gonna make me cry" I said, "Please don't, I don't like to see you cry" he said and I nodded. "I got something for you too" I said while giving him a little black box, he opened it and smiled, it was a bracelet with the shape of a crescent moon hanging down on it, "Thanks, it looks cool" he said and I put it around his wrist. "That way, we'll always be connected" I said and he nodded.
"I got to go say bye to uncle Jake and aunt Molly" I said while entering, I went to the living room and saw them sitting on the couch. "Hey uncle Jake and aunt Molly" I said softly, they both look up, "I just wanted to say goodbye before I go" I said, "Luna come here" Aunt Molly said and I went to her, she hugged me tightly and I hugged her back. "Now be a good girl okay, be nice to your mom, she hates this as much as you do, and remember to always be yourself" she said and a tear slid down her cheek, "Thank you" I whispered as tears started to spill out of my eyes. "Bye uncle Jake" I said as I hugged him tightly, "Bye cutie pie, I'm gonna miss you" he said, "I'm going to miss you too" I said, I got up and walked towards Oscar. "Well this is it" I said as I shrugged, "We'll see each other again, like I said we'll always be best friends" he said and I nodded, we hugged each other tightly, "Luna, I have something to tell you" he said. "What is it??" I asked, "I..like you" he said and I smiled, "I like you too Oscar" I said as I planted a soft kiss on his cheek, "I got to go, I hope I see you again, bye Oscar" I said as I left hoping that it went differently.
Oscar P.O.V
"I got to go, I hope I see you again, bye Oscar" Luna said as she left. After she left, I closed the door and went to the living room, "Well, she's gone" I said sadly, "Are you gonna be okay buddy??" My dad asked, "I'm gonna be okay" I said as I looked at the bracelet she gave me and I couldn't help but smile. I sat down next to them and I couldn't help but feel sad, a tear slid down my cheek and my mom saw it, "It's okay baby, you'll see her again" My mom said and that made me mad. Why did she have to go?? I ran to my room and slammed my door, I started throwing things around to get rid of my anger, I sat down against the door hoping that it went differently.
