Steve didn't start the car engines as Natasha got in the car, and with her statement she just said, Steve was beyond confused of what she just found out. Perhaps something interesting about Maria Hill, or probably out of a sudden said celebrity decided to share her deepest secret to Natasha which Nat badly wants to share to Steve. He doesn't know really. There was a pause before she started to talk again, increasing the tension and making things all so dramatic. Huh, he never knew she would be one of a drama queen.

"This is just a deduction, you probably wouldn't believe it, but I have a feeling like you would though-" Natasha started to babble on quickly, Steve could barely picked up what she was saying.

"What is it, Nat?" Steve asked slowly and raised his eyebrows, telling her to go on in a calmer manner. She inhaled deeply before she started telling her tale of discovery.

Walking in the cafe, in the ocean of people sitting on tables set with fancy glimmering eating utensils and the clanking of spoon and fork along with the chatters of people having pleasantries over their food, Natasha could spot the brunette on her phone sitting on a table for two, Maria Hill. Both glasses were filled with water. She's waiting for someone, well she better move fast and get the job done quickly before her companion of the night, a date from the looks of it, arrives.

And then Natasha Romanoff works her magic.

Just like that, her work for the day is done. She finds that Maria Hill is a very generous person. During the interview, she even shared some jokes. Even when Natasha was about to leave, she offered maybe they could hang out sometimes and have some 'girl time'. But all that is just usual findings, it wasn't just once or twice that celebrities she interviews willing to hang out with her, she is an actually interesting people, just by looking at her appearance people are intrigued to know her more.

Natasha was just about to leave when her phone rang, she searched her bag for her phone when a man in a light blue shirt and sunglasses on walks by to the table.

"Hey, babe," the man said to Maria.

Hold up.

She knows that voice.

Looking up from her bag she tried to get a look on his face.

Wait a second! She knows this guy! Heck anybody would notice the man who's basically on every store window and billboards even with his sunglasses!

James Buchanan Barnes.

She knew with a face like his, sure is a womanizer, but she didn't expect him to cheat on Sharon on this brunette. Oh my she's mind blown. She's definitely gotta tell Steve, he'll be flipping in happiness, she thought.

"Oh, hi," he greeted her and she looked up to meet his face, uh oh busted,"I think I know you, Natasha, right?" He said, trying to keep calm even though she knew he was trying to hide his flustered expression.

"Yeah-Yeah. I didn't know you were with Maria," Natasha said, trying to sound light and not overly accusing.

He said something to Maria and lead Natasha to a corner in the restaurant where nobody was paying attention.

When he didn't start talking Natasha raised her eyebrows at him.

"Look, this is everything like you think it looks like," he admitted.

Natasha gasped at him, "Oh my god! Did you mean- You mean- But Sharon?!"

"I know, I know, I know it's horrible but I think Sharon and I are not working out. I think I'll break her up soon, but can you please please please not tell this to the media, I don't want Maria to look like a man stealer," he pleaded at her, his eyes showed a shade of guilt but damn his eyes how can someone resist not helping him, "I know it's a lot to take in but can you please help me?"

"Oh o-okay. Y-yeah sure, I think I better go, Maria has been waiting for you," she said and rushed out the door.

Steve's expression was a mixture of "what the hell just happened", "holy shit" and a hint of "woah". With a little bit of silence afterwards although his mouth was gaping open as though he was about to say something.

"Sooo??" Natasha asked and wiggled her eyebrows at Steve, who seem to smile a bit.

He chuckled and said, "I don't what to say, I mean-"

"Steve you're supposed to be flipping in excitement right now! This is your chance to get Sharon back!" She exclaimed excitedly with a wide grin on her face.

Well yeah, it seemed like a great opportunity to do so but is he ready for it? Does he really want to? He's not so sure himself. But the thought of having someone by his side again made him raise up his hopes up a little bit.

"I don't know, what if I mess it up again, Nat?" He asked her, a bit unconfident of his chances.

"I'll help you," she replied immediately. Smiling wide at him.

"Thanks Nat, you're the best."

A few minutes into the car ride, Natasha was uncharacteristically quiet. She was humming to the song on the radio for a while, but all of a sudden she went quiet. Steve thought she fell asleep but as he looked to the side, he found her staring into nothing with a sad expression.

"Nat?"

"Huh?" she responded, a bit surprised.

"Are you okay? You're not sick again, are you?" Steve asked, getting worried again. His eyes wandered off from the road to take a good look at her.

"No, no. I was just thinking," she said.

"What's the matter, Nat?" he asked once more.

"If you go back to Sharon, does that mean you can't hang out with me anymore? Not that I don't want you to be with her, but I think I'll miss spending my time with you," she admitted.

If Steve was drinking, he would've choked on the water when he hears that. Just like choking on water he pulls aside and stopped the car.

"My god, Natasha what were you thinking? I would never ever forget you, you have my word," he looked at her straight in the eye.

"Sooner or later you will," she whispered hoping he wouldn't listen.

"Damn it, Natasha I won't you gotta believe me Nat! You got me painting again, I could never forget you for that," he took one of her hands and soothed it with his thumbs," I promise I won't."

"If you keep on hanging out with me perhaps no one dares to come close to you," he teased her and she laughed at him.

"Seriously, Nat. You also need someone for yourself."

The phone beeped once, then twice.

"Matt Murdock? I'm Steve Rogers. I think I might help you with something."
