Steve draped his blanket over her so they were both under it as they snuggled on his couch to watch TV. They weren't really paying attention to it either, they were too overwhelmed by the feeling of finally confessing their feelings toward each other.
"That thing you pulled off, it was so dramatic," she said as she rest her head on his shoulders, "you could've just say it to me without the whole Matt thing. Plus, it was my birthday."
"I was scared, I'll be honest," he replied, "I'm scared that if I stay with you, you'd probably dump me like she did, so I wanted to-"
"Spare yourself the pain," she completed.
"Yeah," he said.
"Matt said the same thing," she chuckled.
"Is he a great guy?"
"Yeah, yeah he is."
"Well then, great minds do think alike, don't they," he said as he nudged her shoulders.
"You're such a dork," she said and looked up at him.
"You love me that way," he said as he laced his fingers with hers and gave her a smile.
Time flew by and they enjoyed every second of it. To be able to hold her in his arms, to be able to stare up at his baby blue eyes in total silence and not be awkward about it, it was just a whole new feeling for the both of them. All of this came unexpected, he wasn't supposed to meet her that day, but then love will always find a way he thought.
Wanda walked into the living room, her red-bottomed heels clicking on the marble floor. Natasha immediately jolted back into an upright sitting position and took the blanket off her, as Steve was slowly doing the same.
"I see you guys made up," Wanda said with a smirk, "I'm gonna leave you guys now, call me later, Steve. Love ya," she added as she walked out the door.

The doorbell shrieked loud and clear further during the day while Natasha was working on her writing on Steve's computer. She slightly jumped on her chair in surprise. She chose to stay at his place even while doing her work, just because she wanted to spend some time with Steve after the crazy things that just happened.
"Holy- Steve was it always that loud?!" she shouted at him, but came no response. She forgot that Steve left for a while, saying he needed to do something. Damn, working too hard on work got her forgetting simple stuff.
She stood up and went to get the door, expecting her favorite blonde but on the doorway was a tall, slim blonde with her hair in waves and her heels high, Sharon.
"Hi Natasha," she greeted, "is Steve home?"
"No, he's out meeting someone, a potential client I guess," she told her.
"Well, that's weird. Last night he texted me, said he wanted to talk about something," Sharon said to her confused. Natasha was even more confused by now, her eyebrows and facial expression explicitly says, uhm what? He did what?
"Oh he didn't tell you?" Sharon replied as if able to read the questions in her head.
The last time Steve saw Sharon, was in the airport, back when James and Sharon was still the power couple they were. That last time, Steve was even hesitant and the very least shy (or scared) to come over and greet her and know he's asking her to come over and talk about something? Natasha decided, 'What the hell is going on' is a quite appropriate expression to explain the things going on right now. Speechless, she hates being speechless, she dug into her pockets and took out her phone and dialed his number, which he didn't pick up.
