'Go ahead Hagrid. Tell her.' Severus spoke.

Hagrid nodded.

'When people die around Hogwarts they change into ghosts or just completely die. But when Severus died... something weird happened. His soul placed itself in his painting. You're talking to the "real" Severusk Snape. The painting wasn't a Horcrux or anything...'

You looked at the painting with slightly widened eyes.

'You mean... that all this time I haven't been talking to a copy...'

Hagrid shook his head. You looked back at Severus.

'Wauw... this is awesome!' You smiled. 'Why would you keep it a secret?' You asked.

'Because we are afraid that ye were going to spent ye're time here. Ignoring school work, standin' in the way of our investigation. This has never happened before Y/N. We don't know how long this is goin' to last and we don't know whether or not this is permanent. We didn't want ye to get attached to him to much.'

'How do you expect me to not get attached to this? I saw him die in front of my own eyes. I just found out that he was my godfather. Even if you wouldn't have told me I would get attached to this. It's one of the only things that remained after he died.'

'That's not true. My potion books are still here.' He spoke.

'That isn't the same... you've been erased from most of my baby foto's. You're only on the once with my parents on them. I can't even call them baby foto's because I'm not even on them... basically everything is gone.'

It was quiet for a moment.

'So what do you expect me to do now?' You asked. 

'Well... maybe ye shouldn't come here in a few weeks. Just let us do our investigation.'

You looked at Severus who sighed.

'Y/N... maybe that is best for now. I'd love to talk to you but... this wasn't even meant to happen and I think you have to learn to live without my protection.'

You sighed and got up.

'If that's what you want... then I'll respect that choice. Thank you for telling me Hagrid.'

You walked towards the door of the office.

'Y/N...'

You looked at Severus.

'I'll talk to you soon.'

You smiled and nodded. You closed the door behind you and hurried towards your History of Magic class. You closed the door and looked at professor Binns. He stopped and looked at you.

'Hello miss Y/L. Mister Malfoy explained me where you were. Have a seat, make sure you copy the notes I gave.' He spoke.

You nodded and sat down besides Draco. You grabbed your books.

'I have to talk to you...' you spoke. 'It's about the portrait.'

After class, when everyone was in the great hall for dinner, you had just explained the entire story to Draco.
