20. memory loss

brads pov

i saw melanie fall to the ground , she was unconcius , all of the people who had surrounded us earlier , had cleared off after seeing mel fall , including jamie.

i got my phone out and dialed 999

operator: hello what is your emergancy

brad: i need an ambulance fast

operator: right we are setting one up now what is the destination

brad : err the main park , in wattford

operator: the abulance is on the way , could you answer a couple more questions , to what happend.

brad : yes

i talked to the women on the phone for another 15 minutes when i heard the ambulance sirens. i hung up quickly and ran towards where the sound was. i directed the people in the ambulance to where mel was laying. they picked her up and carried her to the ambulance , they asked for a number to contact some one with , i gave them mels dads number.

i wanted to tell mels dad straight away , but then i remembered the situation we were in. i decided to play it cool. i grabbed flynn and jesse.

once i got to my house i let jesse inside. i then went to mels house and knocked on the door.

"hi sir , this doesnt sound good but i have just seen mel , she was in an ambulance and err i found flynn so i brought him back here " he didnt even respond , he pushed me out of the way and got into his car. he sped off in the direction of the hospital. i couldnt leave flynn there so i brought him back to my house.

i wanted to cry , mel was in serius danger , and i couldnt be too sad because i wasnt her "boyfriend" and i didnt want to make our parents suspicoius. i went straight to my room and shut the door.

mels pov

i woke up ,  or atleast think i woke up , i was paralyzed , i heard voices , it was my dad and a doctor

" it looks as if she might have slight memory loss , but other than she should be fine" the doctor sounded postive

"do you know how much memory loss" "its hard to tell , until shes woken up " what did they mean memory loss , i wasnt going to forget anyone was i.

the doctor left the room leaving just me and my dad , he was crying. he kept mumbeling prayers.

he finally said somthing i could understand " i really dont want to go but i have to go , to go to work , i promice i will be back soon , and look you have some friends for company now , hi jamie , hi brad"

jamie was my bestfriend , and i loved him , i wasnt still completly over him. but brad who was brad.

jamie spoke first " hey mel , we know you can hear us , the doctor said so"

brad went next " listen mel , i dont know why jamies here , but he refused to leave , anyway i love you and i know you will get better soon , i just cant belive they would do this to you"

what did he mean love me , i didnt remember having a boyfriend , i had only just become friends with jamie again

"look brad just go away , i need to spend time with my girlfriend , she needs to be able to rember me , the doctors said she might have some memory loss"

"are you being for real jamie , your minipulating the fact she has memory loss , we dont even know how much yet , all we know she might wake up as a four year old , and shes not your girlfriend"

i was now really confused , i was fully aware me and jamie had broken up over a year ago now. what did brad mean by that , was i his girlfriend , i didnt remember being in a relationship , and i defnitly wasnt ready for one.

i felt somthing on my hand , it began to tingle.

i heard brad say "look shes moving her hand , shes sqeezing my hand call the nurse"

his hands were soft and big. i felt safe. i began to get this tingly feeling all over my body. i could feel my other hand now , it was being held by jamie , it didnt feel the same as it did with brad.

i opened my eyes , i saw what i assumed was brad first , he was gorgous , he had brown eyes , and curly hair , but he had been crying , he was looking at the floor so he hadnt noticed yet.

i saw jamie next he had changed , he was pale and had dark circles under his eyes , he looked scary , i looked at his eyes , they had a glint of guilt in them.

i watched as his eyes lit up , he must of noticed the fact that i was awake.he got up and hugged me , i hugged back. once he had retreated brad didnt hesitate to hug me , i felt safe again. it was different to the way with jamie.

brad sat back down again , he was still holding my hand he said " how are you mel are you doing any better " jamie quickly followed "yeah i was sooo worried about you , i dont really know why brads here " i saw brad glare at jamie

i took a deep breath and said " im feeling fine , me head feels a little sore , but brad , its rather obvious that you were part of my life , but im afraid to say , i dont know what part" i saw his eyes fill up with tears

jamies eyes lit up he said " yeah i know what part brad fell into , the stalker part , he hasnt left you alone since he moved here 4 months ago"

brad let go of my hand , i felt terrible , he was clearly really sad , i noticed he had a bruise on his nose and a cut on his cheek. he was about to leave when he said

"one last kiss , please , i will let you recover then , i know you will remeber me" i looked at his eyes , they were wide , he was being serious , i nodded my head , he walked back over , he looked at my eyes and then at my lips , he crashed his into mine. my heart litrully exploded. he pulled away , and said again " i know you will remeber me" he was walking out of the door when , everything flooded back every memory , the first time i met brad , our first date , our first sober kiss , the day he asked me to be his girlfriend , our first sleep over , the first time we got intimate , loosing my virginity , the handcuffs and the fights all the fights.

i pushed jamie off me , i was disgusted that he had tried to win me over by using the fact that i was fradgile at the moment against me. i shouted after brad but it was too late , he had already left.
