I met up with Jessica at a Starbucks. We ordered our drinks and sat down at a table.

"I really need to get something for Lloyd." i commented.

"Why?" she asked, probably not understanding my strange way of thinking. "i'm not complaining, I mean, it's sweet of you but, why do you 'really need to'"

"Christmas is in two days.. He got me something. And bought me a phone." I explained, "I can't just not get him something. I also pretty much live in his house. I caused him to break up with his girlfriend, Even though he seems kinda into this girl named Cherish, now. It still bothers me. I also caused him a whole lot of stress for trying to kill myself and stuff...I just want to make up for it, and fix all the crap I caused"

"You're putting too much on yourself, Nicholas" she said my full name. I kinda like the way she said it, though. I usually find it weird when people say Nicholas, but this is oddly different.

"No I'm not." I argued, "I could probably add a lot more if I tried, that was just what first came to mind" I laughed as I took a sip from my coffee.

"Well don't." she smiled. "Do you know what you're going to get him?" she asked.

"Pff no. I don't even know what he could want under 50 bucks." I responded. "I would get him a new bass but, that's way too expensive for me right now."

"It's the thought that counts, just get him something sentimental," she requested.

"But that's weird" i joked, "I honestly don't know what would be sentimental"

"Do you guys have like an inside joke, or something like that?"

"The Disney tramp stamp I have is an inside joke, kinda. But how the hell could I make that into a gift" Who would want a gift that represents a tattoo on my lower back, that Johnny gave me and didn't finish. To be honest it's more of a joke between Johnny and I, than me and Lloyd.

"You could get one of those temporary tattoos" she said.

"Nevermind, I don't want to give him anything related to that. Maybe for Johnny. But not for Brad." What does he want? He wants me to rejoin Get Scared, which i technically already did. He wants a lifetime supply of skittles and slurpees and Eskimo pies. He's been wanting a new Nintendo 64 game. Wait, it just broke. Maybe I can get afford a new one. "Do you mind if we go to the mall?"

"No, We can go." She responded, drinking the last bit of her coffee.

"Cool."

Once we got to the mall, we headed to a Game Stop. I doubt I'll be able to find a Nintendo 64, all they sell here are the latest consoles and games. Not some old gaming system from the 90's.  I walked up to the cashier and asked "Do you guys, by any chance, have a 64?"

"No man, Sorry" He answered. Damn.

"Oh, well thanks" Jess and I left the store. "Maybe i should get him mass amounts of skittles."

She laughed. "Sure why not?" I held her hand, interlocking my fingers with hers.

"I think there's a candy shop here" I explained, "by the food court, maybe?"

"Let's go check it out."

I was right. The store only sold candy. Candy Canes, chocolate bars, gummy bears, and a whole lot more. This is a kid's paradise. "We need skittles"

"Only skittles?" she questioned.

"Yes, nothing but skittles." I laughed. I saw that there were large bags of skittles, so I grabbed three. I was going to pay for them, when I got a text. I pulled out my phone to see who it was. It's Lloyd? What could he want?

"Where are you"- from Lloyd

"At the mall.. Why?"- To Lloyd

"I have some exciting news. Come back as soon as you can." -from Lloyd

"Ok"-to Lloyd

"Can't you just tell me now... i'm with Jessica"-To Lloyd

"No. XD"-From Lloyd

"Well Lloyd wants us to go to his place ASAP" i told Jessica.

"Oh.." she looked upset. "Well just pay for the Skittles and we can go."

"Is something wrong?" i asked, genuinely concerned.

"I just wanted to have more you and me time, but it's ok" she admitted.

"Oh... I'm sorry." I said, "He just has something really exciting to tell me, so after that we can leave again"

"Ok" she kissed me on the cheek.

"It probably has to do with Cherish that's so great that he can't tell me by text" I explained. I paid for the candy, which was a total of $23.95, then left.
