Nell decided to keep the kissing a secret and didn't want anything too sexual Just yet. And honestly, I was glad, I really didn't know if I was ready for it yet. My grandmother extended her stay by skipping out on her plane tickets. I was beyond pissed, but made myself calm down because stress is bad for me.
My mother, to get us out the house on weekends, signed us up for baby care classes. I didn't mind because essentially, I had no idea what to do.
"Choose your baby." The instructor told us. I hooked arms with my mom and we walked over to the table of silicon babies. All lined across a wide table in different beautiful shades. I tugged at the bottom of my shirt with my unoccupied arm.
The baby girl in the middle, a caramel mocha shade. I literally adored the baby immediately.
"I am Instructor Riley. I will teach you do's and don't's with your newborns. In these 2 months, you will have the proper care of a child down pact. At the end, you will take home your silicon baby." The instructor carefully picked up a baby.
"Sit down. Your first lesson is holding and securing your baby.." I was perfect. I placed the baby on the blanket, slid my hands under its back and gently under her neck, securing it. I picked it up and placed it over my shoulder, still holding the baby's neck. The instructor applauded me, for being a first time mother and almost the only one pregnant in the class.
She went on with different ways to carefully and quickly pick up your newborn. The class sped pass quickly.
"Tomorrow we will be learning about staying calm with a crying baby, also, figuring out what's wrong while staying calm. Leave your babies here, with your name tag on their clothes. "
I reluctantly sat the baby down and was heading out the door when the instructor stopped me.
"Luna, is it?" He smiled. Riley reached his hand out and took mines in his.
"Pleasure. You did wonderfully with the baby. Do you have siblings?" Riley tilted his head, my hand still in his hands.
"No." My mother answered. He raised his eyebrows, clearly in surprise.
"That's amazing, I've never seen someone so good. Looking forward to you two tomorrow." He smiled and waved goodbye.
I waved back and waddled to the car that awaited us. Nell was on her lunch break.
"What do you want to eat, Luna?" She asked, pulling away from the curb.
"I'm not hungry." I said. Nell looked over at me.
"Luna, all you ate was one bowl of cereal. What do you want to eat?" Nell had one hand on the steering wheel and the other arm leaning against the cars console.
"I want Panda Express." I told her.
She'd dropped my mom off at her doctors appointment immediately after picking us up from the baby class.
"Okay," She continued driving.
I lifted my shirt and placed my hand underneath my stomach.
"My stomach is so stretched out. It's so weird." I ran my hand over my tummy. It felt so smooth.
"Luna put your shirt down." Nell told me before reaching over and doing it herself.
"Chanel put your shirt up." I attempted to get her shirt, she swatted me.
"Eww don't call me that." I laughed after she said it.
I mocked her, "Ewww don't call me that."
Nell rolled her eyes.
"Chanel put your shirt up." She mocked me back in a child like voice.
I gasped, laughing a little, "I do not sound like that."
" 'I do not sound like that'." She did it again, laughing as we pulled into the parking lot of Panda Express.
"Nell stop." I was laughing so hard I almost peed.
" 'Nelll stooop'," Nell mocked me until we got into the restaurant. Where I couldn't stop laughing still. I was literally on the floor.
Crying.
I was embarrassing myself but my stomach hurt so bad from laughing, I didn't care. Nell was laughing too. When I finally was able to stop, I wiped my eyes and went into the bathroom.

When I came out, Nell was ordering food. I began humming, an unfamiliar tune, and I'm not sure where it came from but, it was just there. The man behind the counter dropped the food and stared directly at me. He blinked before he hit the table with some type of fork.
I frowned because it instantly rang in my ears causing me to drop.
"What the hell!" Nell picked me up and the man hurriedly gave us our food. He closed the shop immediately after we left out.
"What the hell was that?" Nell sat the food in the back and rushed out the parking lot.
"Idk I was humming and then the man smacked a tuning fork against the metal thing." I was as confused as she was.
"When did yo hum? I didnt hear you humming at all." She looked over at me for a second a confused look on her face.
"You had your earphones in, you didn't hear me."
I hummed again, my eyes closing. I felt the car jerk over and stop. Cars were honking and people were cursing.
"What is that? Why can you do that? " Nell asked. Nell pressed her hand to my stomach and she got a dazed look in her eyes.
I pushed Nell away from me. "It's not you." She whispered.
I felt my baby tumble around. A sharp pain came.
Once.
Twice.
Three times.
It continued. I screamed in agony, and then it stopped.
"It is me." I spoke softly. I lifted my head and opened my hand on the dashboard.
The cars in front moved and we moved forward.
