You know how people say time goes extremely slow when you're waiting for something? Well, that was not the case for me.

It was already Friday before I knew it. It was currently 5:53 and I was looking for something to wear.

I had already taken a shower and dried it. I was currently wearing a robe rummaging through my closet.

Ryan had just texted me earlier telling me to wear something fancy.

I was starting to dread this date. I would have to wear something fancy, which means we are going somewhere posh.

I hate fancy restraunts.

I made it to the very back of my closet finding a simple white dress that had one strap that was black and a black waisted belt with a huge white flower that was rimmed with black.

I wore this dress only once to my aunt's wedding. I tried it on and it actually still fit me, it was just a little short.

I didn't feel like falling a lot so instead of heels I paired the outfit with some black flats with a white flower at the tip.

I curled the tips of my hair adding a little eyeliner and mascara and a deep red lipstick.

By the time I was done I heard our doorbell ring. I quickly grabbed my white clutch and went downstairs to answer the door.

My mom and Dad beat me to it though. They seemed to be interrogating him, and he looked kind of frazzled from their questions.

I rolled my eyes and made my way over.

"If you guys come back with a baby I have a shot gun wai-" I cut my dad off shoving his shoulder slightly and laugh.

"Give him a break Daddy, you're scaring him."  I say while still laughing.

"The scared one's are the ones who are hiding something." My dad said glaring at Ryan, who looked like he was trembling. My dad finally broke out into a smile. "I was just kidding. You kids have fun." He said chuckling at Ryan's state.

We all finally said our goodbyes and left. We silently made our way to his car.

The whole car ride their neither of us spoke, keeping us in a suffocating awkward silence.

When we made it there he opened my door for me and handed me a rose.

Oh great, another rose....

I smile anyway since the gesture was still sweet. He grabs my hand and we make our way into the very posh looking restraunt.

His hand was very big and rough like he used his hand to lift weights a lot. My hand was really small compared to his, it was so small compared to his that you couldn't even see my hand since his wrapped all the way around.

I don't know why but I didn't like his hand, it was strong and muscular giving it a scary effect.

We finally got in and we already had a reservations out on the second floor patio.

We were seated and I couldn't help but gasp at the amazing sight it showed over a huge lake that had a fountain in the middle that shot water up every 10 minutes.

There were also floating candles that gave it an enchanting feeling. The Patio was guarded with a metal railing that were twisted and mixed with vines and damp moss.

There were candles here and there over the railing. I looked around at the people and they all seemed to fancy, with stiff straight backs and delicate eating bites.

I frowned at that, I had bad posture and I usually eat my food quickly, I once won a pie eating contest from how fast I ate, and it feels like all the fancy people were judging me.

Ryan seemed to be completely oblivious to my internal conflict, and was flicking through the menu.

I opened my menu to see it was all in some kind of different language.

Ryan seemed to know what he was doing though, because when the waiter came he spoke in what seemed like a German language and ordered the food for both of us.

We were again plunged into an awkward silence. I started playing with my fork pushing and twirling them around. I was twisting it when my finger spazzed a bit and the fork fell on the ground.

The sound of the fork clanging on the ground reverberated around the patio, making everyone look at me.

I quickly picked up the fork and when I was trying to sit back up I knocked the back of my head on the table.

I heard a few chuckles around the room, as I finally sat back up. My cheeks were burning a deep red, probably matching my lipstick.

I looked at Ryan and he looked a little embarrassed to be the date of who everyone is laughing about.

The waiter came with our food, effectively taking away the awkward dilemma.

I quickly shove some of the food in my mouth not bothering to see what I was eating because all I wanted to do was leave the restraunt as quick as I could.

"Woah, slow down Athena, you don't want to choke." He said looking at me in bewilderment. My cheeks were puffed out and full of food.

I then saw what he was drinking though.

"Is that wine?" I ask, my cheeks still full.

"Yeah...." He said his face contorted in disguise as I talked with my mouth full. I quickly swallowed the food and continued talking.

"Aren't you underaged to drink?" I ask pulling my eyebrows together.

"I just slipped the waiter some extra cash, did you want some?" He asked extending the bottle out to me.

I look at him in bewilderment, he slipped the waiter some cash??

I quickly shake my head. I continue shoving the food in my mouth. I slow my chewing down a bit and feel the slightly grainy texture on my tongue. I swallow the food and look down at my plate to see the weird looking meat on my plate.

"Ryan, what am I eating?" I ask slowly.

Ryan flicks his gaze up at me for a brief second then went back to looking at his phone that he had been texting on for a while now.

"Pig intestine, it's quite a delicacy. Expensive here too, they serve the best." Ryan explained nonchalantly with a shrug.

And that was when I puked on the patio.

******
