I look over to Ryan who was carrying the babies who were only in their diapers, which were on backwards, and milk all over their heads.
"What in the world?!?!" Ryan cried out looking at the stove which was in flames.
I take my eyes off of him and back to the fire which was slowly getting smaller.
I grab the multiple towels, dousing them in water and threw them into the water collecting a loud sizzle and the fire slowly going out with the help of Nates huge bucket of water.
I let out a long breathe of relief escape my lips and slumping myself into the ground, which was still soaked in alcohol and water.
I was so glad the fire didn't reach the ground then we wouldn't have been able to control the fire.
I finally looked back at Ryan.
"Why are the kids soaked in milk?" I ask tiredly.
"I was feeding them milk and they wouldn't hold the bottles so they kept falling and splashing their faces. " Ryan explained.
"They're only a week old, they wouldn't know how to hold the bottles." I say exasperatedly.
"Oh...." was Ryan's reply.
I shifted my gaze to Nate. Who was now cleaning up the alcoholic spill on the ground.
"Why are the babies diapers on backwards?" I ask Nate.
"I didn't know which way was the front, it was really confusing." Nate said with furrowed eyebrows.
"Oh, I don't know, maybe the front is the one with pictures on it." I say frustrated.
"Hey, this is the first time I've babysat, give me some credit." Nate replied defensively.
"And who in the world thinks a week old baby could lift it's own bottle?" I ask looking at Ryan now.
"Says the girl who set the kitchen on fire." Ryan retaliated.
I clamped my mouth shut after that comment since it was true. I heave another sigh.
"Look, we're all just stressing out on what to do with the kids and the fire remains." Nate said in a soothing and calming voice.
I look up at the stove to see the damage of the fire.
It wasn't that bad, just a huge ash stain on the wallpaper on the wall behind the fire, and also ash all over the counters and stove.
We could easily clean it up and paint over the stain.
"Okay, we're gonna fix all of this before Persie and Lisa come back." I say determinedly.
"Okay, Nate since you already seem to be cleaning, you clean the counters and stove, and paint over the stain."
"Okay, we should have some of the paint in the garage." Nate said nodding his head.
"Ryan you go ahead and make our food, guess we're having ramen tonight." Ryan just nodded his head.
"I'll take the kids." I said while grabbing both of them in my arms.
I pulled the kids into the room re-changing both of their diapers the right way, and feeding both of them milk.
Once I was done feeding them milk, they were sound asleep in their car seats.
I put both of the babies in the baby bed. After I was done I took a quick shower to get rid of the stench of alcohol.
I changed into a pair of Lisa's sweatpants and a white shirt, since I called and asked her if I could.
I went out of the room to find both of the guys chowing down on 3 cups of ramen each.
