Ian's pov
How could I be so stupid?
I lied to the girl I love and now she is in pain because I just had to bite her last night and create that bond.
I sighed and said to myself "Why did you have to be so stupid? I truly love her and I screwed everything up by lying to her."
I sighed and laid down on the other bed, looking up at the ceiling.
I heard movement and saw Desiree had began to shake uncontrollably.
I got up fast and wrapped my arm around her and rubbed her arm while saying "Desiree it's ok, I'm sorry for saying all that crap about you and I'm sorry for lying to you. I wasn't thinking at the time and I'll understand if you don't want anything to do with me anymore. I love you and I won't let anyone hurt you."
About that time she shot up from bed and she began sobbing very painful sobs.
I took her into my arms and said "Shh Desiree it's ok. I'm here and I won't let nothing hurt you."
She did something that surprised me, she held me tightly against her, refusing to let me go.
I rubbed her back gently and held her close, refusing to let me go.
Hours later she finally calmed down and said "Never again will you put me through that."
I cupped her face in my hands and said "Desiree I'm so sorry that I did that. I wanted you to think that I didn't love you anymore but it only hurt you much worse."
She looked into my eyes and asked "Why did you lie to me?"
I sighed and said "I'm still really worried that the Head Vampire Protection Clan will find out about our relationship and they'll send another Vampire Protector to protect you."
She leaned in and whispered in my ear "Ian I don't know if I can trust you again. You've hurt me so many times and I can't take much more pain from you."
I pulled her face so I could look in her eyes as I said "I truly love you and I want to show you right now."
With that I pressed my lips against her and kissed her with everything I had in me.
She didn't respond at first but the couple times I licked her bottom lip, she finally responded and she began kissing me with the same force.
I moaned and pulled her closer to deepen the kiss. She wrapped her arms around my neck and pressed her body closer to mine, deepening the kiss.
I pulled back but only to kiss down her neck. She moaned and pressed my head more firmly against her neck.
I moaned and pulled away from her only to say "You don't realize how much you tempt me when you pressed my lips against you neck like that."
Her lips were trembling and she was looking down not saying anything.
I put my hand under her chin and lifted her face until I could look her in her eyes and say "I truly love you Desiree and I'd give my life for you. You deserve a happy life and you deserve a great guy who can take care of you. To be honest if you really like Adam, I think you should date him because he cared about you when I was being a douche bag."
Without saying anything she pushed me down on the bed and straddled me, staring at me with an expression full of love and pain.
I lifted one hand up and placed it on the side of her face and she leaned into my hand and I left it there.
