Chapter 15
Desiree's pov
I woke up to hearing shouting going on and when I opened my eyes, I saw the boy from earlier standing by the corner frowning at nothing.
Very quietly I stood up and walked over to the door and placed my hand on it before turning my head and leaning into it, trying to listen to where all the shouting was coming from.
I didn't have much luck so I pulled back and leaned against the wall sighing heavily.
It was silent for a bit but the boy spoke up by saying "The shouting happens a lot so it's not nothing new."
I nodded and asked "What happens?"
He shrugged and said "I don't know. I'm stuck in here most of the time so I have no idea what goes on anymore."
I looked away and said "I'm sorry."
He shrugged and said "It doesn't matter. I've been here most of my life so it's nothing that is too big."
I looked over at him and asked "Haven't you tried escaping at all?"
For the second time he looked over at me with his pale blue eyes and asked "Where am I going to go?"
I looked away and stared at the small window that was on the back wall and said "Where ever you want."
I could hear movement but I didn't bother to look over to see what he was doing.
I felt the boys' hand on my arm as he said "You really believe that?"
I looked up into his eyes and said "Yes I do. You have your own life to live and you can live it anywhere you want to. You don't have to be cooped up for the rest of you life."
He smiled at me and said "Thank you Desiree."
I nodded and when I looked back at the window there was a bright light shinning through.
I shielded my eyes and when the lights dimmed some, I saw feet at the window.
Seconds later I heard someone whispering "Desiree are you in there?"
I gasped and when I stepped closer, I saw Adam standing there looking in the cell trying to see me.
Once I got closer I asked "How did you guys find me?"
Adam smirked and said "You should thank Ian."
I smiled and said "Hey Adam we have another person to save is that ok?"
He chuckled and said "Sure who is it?"
About that time the boy stepped closer to me and when Adam saw him his eyes went wide as he asked "Nathan is that you?"
The boy nodded and said "It's been a while brother."
I looked at both boys and said "Well this is a great reunion but because you're on a rescue mission and we need to get out of here before the guards show up."
Adam smirked and said "Don't worry about them."
Adam bent down and ripped the bars out of the way and reached in and pulled me out of the cell and once I was up, he helped the boy named Nathan out.
Once we were both out of the cell, I noticed another figure walking towards us. It didn't take me long to realize that it was Ian.
I ran to him, not caring who was watching me and gently pulled him into a hug and said "Oh god Ian you found me."
He pulled me closer and said "I'm fine Desiree. You don't have to worry about being gentle with me. I healed last night."
I nodded and said "I missed you."
He kissed the top of my head before saying "I missed you too."
We held each other for a while until someone behind me cleared their throat.
I turned and saw that Adam and Nathan were standing there looking at us with raised eye brows.
I sighed and said "Ok guys lets get out of here."
They all nodded and we all got in the truck then headed out of that hellhole.
Ian and I was cuddled up in the back seat while Nathan and Adam were up front.
Ian rubbed my arm gently and kissed my head while holding me.
I lifted my head and smiled at him then whispered "I love you."
He kissed my forehead lightly before saying "I love you too Desiree. Now get some sleep and I'll wake you up when we get there my love."
I nodded and fell asleep with my head laying on his shoulder and before falling asleep I felt his arm wrap around me."
Nathan's pov
I watched as Desiree slept in my side mirror. She looked so peaceful like that and I'm glad that I met her because she was an amazing person.
I sighed and thought about tonight's events.
I got reunited with my brother and I met a beautiful girl so I guess you could say that my life is lucky.
I was about to fall asleep but then I heard a strange sound.
I looked behind me and saw that Desiree was shaking and whimpering really loudly.
I went to shake her but Adam looked over at me and said "Just wake Ian up. They're bonded so if he's having a bad dream, it will affect her."
I nodded and said "Hey Ian wake up."
He opened his eyes and when he saw that Desiree was shaking he gently shaked her and said "Desiree wake up."
Her eyes snapped open and she was trembling really bad.
He held her close and asked "Are you ok?"
She nodded but didn't say anything.
I looked back up front and said "Lets stop for the night ok?"
Adam nodded and we found a hotel to say at for the night.
Ian and carried Desiree inside and placed her on the bed before laying beside her.
Adam and I went into the small room that was in the room. It was cool cuz we could give Ian and Desiree some privacy and we could have some privacy.
Adam sat on one bed while I sat on the other.
We didn't say anything to each other so we both laid down and fell asleep immediately.
Desiree's pov
Ian stayed beside me all night and it felt good to be in his arms again.
I kissed his neck and then his lips before pulling back and saying "I love you Ian."
He kissed me gently before saying "I love you too Desiree."
I cuddled into him and sighed happily.
Ian wrapped his arm around my waist and said "Sleep my love. We have to leave early tomorrow morning."
I sighed and fell asleep immediately with my lover safely by my side.
