Chapter 12
Adam's pov
I was looking at the hotel window thinking about the past couple days.
I really hurt Desiree by saying the stuff that I did to her and I feel terrible about it too.
I sighed and turned to Jessa and said "I'm going to call Ian and check on them because I haven't heard from them in a couple days ok?"
She nodded and said "Ok go ahead."
I picked up my phone and dialed Ian's number.

"Hello?"
I cleared my throat and asked "Is this Ian?"
"Yea who is this?"
"Hey Ian it's Adam how's everything going?"
"Oh Adam things are terrible. Desiree left and I'm bonded to my best friend."
Anger ran through me as I asked "You're bonded to your best friend?"
He sighed and said "Yea it just happened. Desiree ran away and I have no idea what happened to her or if she's ok."
I began to get angrier as I said "Ian you hurt Desiree by bonding with some other girl and she loved you will all her heart. Why would you do that to your soul mate?"
He sighed and said "I wasn't thinking. Listen I have to go so I'll talk to you later."
Without saying anything I hanged he phone up and turned to Jessa before saying "I need to go find Desiree. Ian cheated on her and broke their bond that they had. She's probably in so much pain because of him. Stay here and I'll be back when I can."
She nodded and said "Ok just be careful out there and come back to me soon."
I kissed her before saying "Ok I'll be back soon."
She nodded and laid down on the bed. I sighed and walked out the door only to find a heartbroken Desiree walking towards me.
I ran up to her and said "Oh god Desiree I'm so sorry about what happened to you."
She held onto me and began crying painful sobs.
I pulled her into the hotel room and sat her on the bed. She was shaking badly and her sobs were painful sounding.
I looked over at Jessa and quietly asked her "Would you come watch her while I get some water and things for her please?"
She got up quickly and pulled Desiree into a hug and said "She didn't deserve this. She is a very sweet girl and Ian was a douche to her breaking that bond. I feel bad for doing that to her when I was touching Ian."
I sighed and said "Just stay with her."
Jessa nodded and said "Ok I will don't worry about me."
I got up and went to the store a coupled buildings down from the hotel.
Desiree's pov
Jessa stayed with me comforting me while Adam went to grab food and water for me.
We didn't say anything for a while but I decided to break the silence.
"Thank you Jessa and I forgive you for what you did to Ian."
She smiled and said "Thank you Desiree and I'm so sorry that he broke your bond."
I looked away and said "I should have listened to Adam when he told me that I made the biggest mistake of my life."
She pulled me into a hug and said "You didn't know Desiree. You thought he loved you but he didn't. Don't blame yourself for his wrong doing. He lost an amazing girl and he didn't even realize that."
I smiled at Jessa and said "Thank you."
She smiled back and said "Why don't you go to sleep while I get a shower. What do you say?"
I nodded and said "That sounds great. Thank you Jessa."
She smiled and got up and walked away, leaving me sitting on the bed alone.
I sighed and laid down, thinking about what it would be like having my life back.
Slowly I began drifting off into a dreamless sleep, allowing my arms to wrap around the darkness taking over me.
Ian's pov
I paced back and forth in the living room thinking long and hard.
I was in shock and very upset that Desiree left me. I wanted to be with her forever but because of Tessa she ruined all my dreams.
I looked over at Tessa and saw she was asleep on the couch so I walked out the front door and got in my car and decided that I really needed to find her so I could talk to her.
I finally made it to the hotel room that Adam was staying at so when I knocked on the door Jessa answered it and said "Leave us alone Ian. We don't need your crap right now.
I pushed by her and saw Desiree asleep in one of the beds. I looked at Jessa and said "I have to talk to her."
She got in my face and said "No you don't. Leave her alone because she doesn't need someone like you hurting her like you did."
I walked over to where Desiree was and gently place my hand on her arm before saying "I have to talk to you."
She slightly jumped up and when she saw me pain and betrayal crossed her face.
She sat up and said "What do you want Ian?"
I sighed and said "I have to talk to you Desiree. Why did you leave?"
She looked away and didn't answer me for a while but when she did, I knew how much she wanted to cry.
"Why do you even care why I left?"
I sighed and said "Because you're mine Desiree."
She looked up at me shocked and said "I'm not yours Ian. I left because I couldn't bear the thought of some other woman touching you and having sex with you. It's to much for me to handle and I can't trust you anymore. I loved you but you cheated on me and you didn't even try to tell her no."
He looked at me and before I knew what was happening he threw me over his shoulder an ran out of the door.
Jessa was yelling at Ian to stop but he kept on going faster. I struggled against him and said "Ian put me down now. I don't want to be around you."
Before I knew it we were in a small cabin in the woods and he sat me down on the bed and then said "If you try to escape I will bind you so you can't leave got it?"
I looked away without saying anything. Pain spread through my body and I knew that soon I'd start crying.
Ian cupped my face in his hands and said "Are you going to let me explain what happened or are you going to ignore me?"
I looked straight into his eyes and asked "Why should I?"
