Steven's P.O.V
Immediately, I panic.
The thought of Lauren being out there with nothing but herself and her own thoughts scared me.

"EMILY?!" I shouted, clear fear in my voice. The sound of feet pounding on the floorboards reached my ears, before Emily came into view.

"What? What's wrong?" She asked frantically and out of breath as she tried to lower her heart rate by taking deep steady breaths.

"Lauren's gone." I said in disbelief. I knew she was upset but I never, in a million years, thought she would just leave with no explanation. That's not my Lauren.

"What?! I thought you were looking after her?!" She shouted at the same volume I did at first as she roughly squeezed her feet into her, still tied, trainers, and grabbing her coat.

"I was! I saw that she was asleep so I went into the kitchen to read the note book and--"

"Note book?" Emily asked confused, not knowing what I was talking about.

"Yeah, I made Lauren write down answers to some questions, and I finally got some answers." I said, cussing as I struggled to jam my shoe on my foot.

As we were walking out of the apartment, I told her the questions for the answers, since they didn't make sense by themselves.

"Shit. Well maybe that explains why she's gone." She said looking at me.

"What?" I said, confused at what she meant.

"Well you said that question 2 is "what do you want to do right now?", so maybe she found what she wanted to do. Maybe she wants to be alone." Emily said in a soft tone, putting a hand on my shoulder as she did so.

"Nah. I ain't leaving her out there by herself. You take the car I'll walk around." I replied.

"Don't you think we would find her quicker if we had more people?" She said, with a snarky tone, clearly thinking that this is the wrong way to do this.

As soon as she said this, I grabbed my phone from my jean pocket and  call everyone in my contacts that live close to where we are. After I called a lot of people, the last three helped me the most, which I was thankful for.

The first out of the three was Alanna. I thought she would know some places that she could check out near her, but to my luck, she had Marlowe to look after but she told me all the little cafes that Lauren likes etc, which made me have a little more faith.

Then Norman. He said he'd come round to help look with Emily as he wasn't busy and this was important.

And finally, the hospital. I called to see if they could keep an eye out for Lauren. There's a certain doctor there that she sometimes talks to, surprisingly, so I thought that she might appear up there.

Emily and Norman drove around the area, trying to call and message Lauren while also shouting out of the window, earning a few glares but they didn't care. They wanted Lauren back as much as I do.

I, on the other hand, walked around the cold, dark streets looking for her. I couldn't get the idea of her getting injured, or injuring herself out of my mind.

The fairly dim street lights didn't help my situation of being unable to see anything. My body was going numb from the cold but I couldn't care less, all I need is her, that's it.

As I was running around the neighbourhood, I heard my phone ring. Without hesitation, I pick it up to see that it was Emily.

"You found her??" I bellowed eagerly.

"Um... no. Actually, we have no trace of her whatsoever. We've even asked around and nothing. I don't think she came the way we went. And maybe, just maybe, she doesn't want to be found. Maybe she'll find her own way back..."

"Are you crazy?! She's out there on her own! You really think she's gonna come back?!" I shouted through the phone, anger laced in my voice as I heard the ridiculous idea.

"Steven... Lauren knows what she wants. If she wants to be alone, so be it. We can't do this all the time, Steve. First, we're constantly looking after her, which is driving you and me insane, and maybe even Lauren too. She specifically wrote down what she thought. And maybe this is what she wanted to do in the moment, so you've got to let her. I know you love her Steve, and I do too, hell... the whole cast loves her. But they've got something for Lauren that you haven't. And that's trust she'll come home herself."

As soon as Emily finished ranting she hung up, making me try and think of what to do next.

I was lost in my thoughts.

Not able to move.

Just standing there.

Thinking.

Where is she?

A/N:
So this one is quite short but oh well I needed to update.

Soooo after the next chapter, the chapter up until 70 will be in the style of skins. Aka, each chapter will be about one character then the last one will be about everyone. Btw it's not the last chapter of the book I just thought this would be a good idea.

Anywhooo vote and comment kiddies
