~~~~~Jade’s POV:~~~~~
The pain gets worse as the day goes on. Finally I hear murmuring and the front door slams shut. This is my only chance. I grab the wooden plank that I use as a bed. It’s not heavy.
“Hello?” I ask loudly.
“Yes love?”
Yes! It’s the ‘nice’ man.
I stand up and move to the side of the door that opens.
“Could you please get me a drink of water?” I ask and double-over as a wave of pain hits me. But I carry on.
“Okay” I hear the tap running and footsteps heading in my direction.
I ready myself and lift the plank above my head.
The door is unlocked and opened. I bring the plank down hard.  Even with my thin, weak arms the force of the blow knocks him out.
“Sorry, ‘nice’ man” I say, snickering despite my situation.
Then I head for the front door. I go down the apartment steps, out onto the street.
“Sunshine!” I shout, twirling around with my arms opened wide. Then I double-over from the pain again. I grit my teeth and move as far away from the door to the apartments as possible, not wanting to get caught again.
I struggle down the street until I get to a bus stop and collapse onto the wooden bench. I can’t see the apartment from here, so I feel a little safer. The bus comes around the corner, quite empty thankfully. I’m also glad that I have a little money in my blazer pocket, so I can pay my fare to As Far Away From This Place As Possible. The bus driver looks at me strangely but doesn’t say anything. I sit at the very back of the bus, hidden from the outside. I stare out the window, and as the bus drives off, I see the ‘mean’ guy running down the street looking each and every way frantically. He doesn’t realise that I’m on the bus, he didn’t know I had any money, which I am very grateful for.
~~~~~Arianna’s POV:~~~~~

I’m going on another shopping trip with Perrie when I see a figure getting off a bus.

“Stop! STOP!” I scream. Perrie gets a fright and nearly crashes.

I jump out of the car and run towards the figure, screaming her name.

“Jade! Jade!” I call.

Jade looks at me bitterly. She is so thin that I’m scared when I hug her she’s going to crumble away. She is still wearing her orphanage uniform, which hangs limply off her body. Her cheekbones stand out sharply and her eyes have lost all the life they once had.

“Arianna.” she says softly, then looks behind me, as Perrie walks up.

“Perrie.” she whispers. I see her lifeless eyes fill with tears and I carefully hug her again.

“Ssshh” I comfort her as she weeps into my shoulder.

Suddenly, she pulls away and clutches her stomach, her face screwed up in pain.

“M-my p-period” she stutters.

“Oh no!” I cry, “Your pills, where are they Jade?”

“I-I don’t h-have th-them.” She answers.

I turn to Perrie. “She has to have her pills. She once had to go to hospital when she didn’t take her pills.”

“Right!” Perrie takes charge. “We have to get her into the car somehow. We’re taking her home and we can decide what to do there.”

With Perrie and I supporting her, Jade managed to get into the car. I sat in the backseat with her as Perrie drove. We soon reached the house. She was in too much in pain to notice how magnificent the house was.

“Damn it.” Perrie says.

“What?” I ask concerned.

“The boys are here.” she says, gesturing towards a big black limousine.

“Nevermind.” I say.

Jade seemed to have regained a little strength. She opened her own car door and stumbled out. With me holding her arm, we got to the front door of the house. Perrie opened it for us and I walked in with Jade. Five pairs of eyes looked towards us, widening as they saw who was with us.

At this moment, Jade collapsed and clutched her stomach.

“Zayn. Call the ambulance.” Perrie demanded. “This is an emergency.”
