Jack's POV
The next thing I remembered was waking up with a splitting headache and my eyes hurt. Gah! My stomach hurts! I look up to see Elise I try to ask what was up, but my words slurred,
"I don't need this." She hand me a cup of coffee and pulled the curtains open,
"Gah! Close it!" I covered my eyes,
"Get. Up." She grabbed my arm, "You're not sitting around all day."
"But my head-"
"You could have avoided that, now get your ass up!"
"Language, young lady!"
"Aspirin, old man!" She said handing me the bottle and a glass of water. "You drank the entire bottle..."
"Ugh... H-how are you feeling today?"
"Hmm?"
"You said you were sick."
"Oh... yeah, I'm feeling a little better, but I think I should stay home tomorrow and help you..."
"You can't keep missing school, Elle. What's goin on?"
"I don't know, I'm just stressed out..."
"O-Okay, tomorrow is the last time though." Ugh, I need more coffee... "Hop in the car, we're gonna go see your dad."
"Oh, no. You are not driving. She said, chucking the empty whiskey bottle in the trash, "Tobias? Can you drive us up to the prison?"
"Yeah, of course. Absolutely." He said, grabbing Elise's jacket and handing it to her. I came outside, wearing my 'boss' glasses and 'work bitch' hat, also my orange jacket and sweatpants, not my best fashion statement, but it was comfortable.
"Gah!" I try to put on my hoodie, but it didn't help.
"Stop complaining and get in the car..." Elise rolled her eyes at me as we got in.
Soon we arrived at the gate, showing my ID and signing in. They took us to the visiting room where we saw Mark sitting there, tapping his foot impatiently. He light up a little when he saw us,
"Oh, thank god you guys showed up!" Mark looked at me up and down, "Classy."
"Shh! You're too loud..." I whispered, covering my ears. Mark looked at me and took a deep breath,
"You smell like alcohol, Jack." He frowned, "Stop that."
"It was a mistake. I won't do it again." I rolled my eyes and looked at the table, then back up at Elise, "You're still mad at me, aren't you?" She just looked at Mark,
"How are you doing, Dad? Make any new friends?"
"Actually, yes. Kind of? I met this guy named Diego, he's my cell mate." I grabbed at my stomach, I feel like shit. But they kept on talking, like I wasn't even here.
"That's nice." She smiled a little, "How's the food"
"Well...it's not that bad. Not as good as Tobias's, but not bad." He shrugged,
I frowned and Mark looked over, "Have you talked to the lawyer? I don't want to rot in this cage." He smiled, "I bet we're in all of the newspapers, I can see it now, 'Mark Fischbach, accused of treason and murder. Leaving his poor husband and daughter for a life sentence in prison.' Probably came up with a better title though." He smiled,
I just rolled my eyes, "I have an appointment tomorrow to sign the papers before she can take them to court."
"Playtime's over! Back to your cells!" An older man yelled, we stood up and Mark kissed me, then walked out with the rest of them.
