Elise's POV
"YOU DID WHAT?!" Jack threw his arms up in the air,
"We... we- umm... shortened Mark's sentence..."
"How?!"
"Listen I don't have the time or crayons to explain. All you need to know is that he will be out by Christmas time 8 years from now.
**8 Years Later**
Mark's POV
This is finally it, I'm out. I see Elise holding her little girl and her new baby bump. I see Jack holding flowers and an envelope. Elise puts down my granddaughter, she was hesitant but runs up to me and I lift her in my arms,
"Grandpa! You are soooo handsome!" She smiled, all I could do was cry, tears of joy, she saw me, "Why are you crying?" she pulled out a little toy handkerchief and started wiping my eyes,
"Nothing sweetheart, what is your name?" She looked up at me with those gorgeous brown eyes,
"Daysha Belle Moare!"
"What a beautiful name!"
"Thank you!" She blushed, "Merry Christmas!" Christmas? It's Christmas! I smile really wide as I set her down,
"Merry Christmas to you too, Daysha Belle Moare." I bend down and look at her, she was holding her hands behind her back, "Are you hiding something?"
She smiled and chucked a snowball at me then ran behind Elise, they all smiled at me... Oh shit! I ran away as fast as I could but I was pelted by snowballs,
"MERRY CHRISTMAS!!" They all shouted at me as we ran, I fell over and they piled on top of me, we laughed until our stomachs hurt before we went back to the mansion, home sweet home. I walk in and I am greeted by warm hugs from Tobias, Suzy, and some man I didn't know... is that... Suzy's kid?
"Good afternoon, Mr. Fischbach."
"Good afternoon... and who might you be?"
"Dad, this is Ali, Ali Moare." Elise reached for his hand, and kissed him. I smiled.
"Well, Merry Christmas... son." He tried to shake my hand but I pulled him in for a hug, and he cried.
"We decorated the house, dad. Just like always." Elise opened the door to the living room, it was beautiful, everything was so bright and colorful.
"Mark. I have a special surprise for you after dinner." He handed me the envelope, inside was a receipt for a truck,
"You bought a truck?"
"Even better." He grabbed my hand and lead me outside, there was a big blue truck with a red bow on top. In the bed was blankets and pillows, "We are going stargazing, to see all the amazing, colorful stars without all the light pollution." He smiled and kissed my hand,
"That sounds wonderful, but first, Christmas dinner." I smiled as we walked back in. "Thank you guys. So much, for everything. These past years have made me grateful for the wonderful family I have. I love all of you so much." Daysha ran up to me, she giggled as I sat her on my lap. "I love you too, so much, Daysha Belle Moare."
"I love you too, grandpa." Grandpa... grandpa... I'll never get used to hearing that. When we finished up eating I went over to Daysha,
"I have something for you." Her eyes lit up,
"Really?!"
I nod and pull a hand carved train from behind my back, "A friend of mine made it. Oliver. He is a very nice man once you get to know him. He used to work for bad guys because he wasn't very smart. Now, I'm not saying it like that. He never went to school. I helped him learn and he repaid me by making this, for you, my little beauty." She smiled and took it over to show Elise and Ali,
"Who is Oliver, babe?" Jack asked, placing his hand on my back,
"One of Allison's big guys." He looked at me surprised then shrugged,
"Oh well... No need to dig up old history that is meant to stay buried. It's getting dark, ready to go?" I nod and kissed everyone goodbye, we hop in the truck and drive off.
"Jack. I love you."
"I love you too."
"No. Jack, I love you. So much and without you I don't know if I could have survived. Several years back, when I thought you died in that plane crash... I thought you were gone. I don't know what I would have done if you were really gone. After everything that has happened to us, I am glad that we are still together, we have a beautiful daughter and now granddaughter, a wonderful house and over all a wonderful life. Despite all that shit we've been through, we still love each other. Jack. I love you." I tried to hold back the tears, "I was always emotional." I chuckled through the tears,
"I love you too, Mark." His voice cracked, he had started crying. Then he laughed, "I didn't bring you out here to cry," he stopped the car, " Come on." We got out and set up the blankets, we laid in the back. I pulled him in close to me and ran my fingers through his hair, I didn't even focus on the stars, all I could do was stare at him. I am so lucky to have all of these wonderful people in my life, I look over and he had fallen asleep. Looking up, I could see the stars... They were beautiful and so colorful, universes and galaxies, more wonderful than I could have ever imagined. I was overwhelmed by it's beauty, I started crying again, everything works out when it needs to. I see my little husband sleeping next to me, I kissed his head and closed my eyes,
"I love you, Jack."
