"Reagan....Reagan....Honey, I have to go to work." Nolan said, shaking me lightly.

"What time is it?" I mumbled groggily, snuggling deeper into Nolan's arms.

"4AM." He said.

"No, stay." I said.

"I have to go." He chuckled.

"But I'm not going to see you for a long time." I said, opening my eyes and rubbing them sleepily. It's been two years since our wedding and we couldn't be happier. Izzy was living with us, and Nolan had a great job as a paramedic. His hours were crazy, he had 24 hours on, 48 hours off. "I'm going to miss you." I whimpered.

"I'm going to miss you, too." He said, kissing my forehead. I got out of bed, putting on my robe and walked downstairs with Nolan.

"What do you want to eat?" I asked. This was our routine, he would wake me, we'd go downstairs, we'd eat together, then he'd go to Izzy's room and kiss her forehead and he'd kiss me goodbye.

"Cereal is fine." He said and I stared at him.

"No."

"No?"

"Cereal is all sugar, you can't eat that!" I said.

"But...cereal." He whined.

"Nope." I said, getting out the eggs.

"Reagan, you don't have to make me breakfast. Let me make it."

"And have you burn down the house? No thank you." I said.

"That was one small fire."

"The firemen had to come."

"But I knew them."

"What does that have to do with anything?" I asked

"I don't know." He said. By the time we were finished bantering, his eggs were done. I put them on a plate and set them in front of him.

"Aren't you going to eat?"

"Not hungry." I said and he shrugged, stuffing his mouth with the eggs. He finished quickly and ran upstairs, and then came back down a few minutes later.

"Bye sweetie, love you." Nolan said, kissing my cheek before heading out the door.

"Love you too. Have fun." I called after him. I sighed and walked back up to our room to try and go back to sleep until it was time to wake Izzy up. I tossed and turned until seven when my alarm went off.

"Izzy, sweetie. It's time to wake up." I said, shaking her lightly.

"Ugh." She groaned, and I smiled. She's so far away from a morning person, it's comical.

"I'll be back in a few minutes. When I come back, you'd better be up." I told her sternly.

"Bye, Izzy." Have fun at school!" I called after her when she got out of the car. She glared at me, still grumpy that she had to get up. I chuckled and drove away from the school, going to Mom and dad's house.

"Hi, Reagan!" Gavin greeted me, getting into his car.

"Hi Gav. How's the girlfriend?" I asked. He's been dating a girl named Alexis, we all loved her.

"I think I'm going to propose." He grinned.

"Yay! Took you long enough!"

"What if she says no?" He asked nervously.

"She's not. Don't worry." I said and he nodded. My phone rang and I fumbled through my purse to pick it up.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Reagan." Nolan said nervously.

"What's wrong?"

"I um...I got laid off."
